Chapter 12

One morning in the next weekend, I woke to a loud banging on the door. I clumsily stumble over to the door as I see a sleepy Devin pop up in the other bed. When the door swings open, I see a very short girl jumping up and down in front of me.

"Matt texted me that he's going to announce the cast today!" Lauren yelled, dancing inside.

"Good morning to you too," I mumble. I make my way back to my bed and sit down.

"It's early Lo, couldn't you have waited?" Devin grumbles.

"Devin its 10 already!" Lauren exclaimed. "C'mon get dressed. Meet me in my dorm; I still have to wake Jules up..." As quickly as she came, Lauren went flying back out.

My roommate and I reluctantly get out bed and fight our drowsiness. As soon as my red Gryffindor sweatshirt went over my head, my nerves and my excitement kicked in. With a record time, I was dressed in my sweatshirt, black leggings, black boots, and a black puffer vest and black beanie. Eventually, Devin was ready with her sweater dress and leggings.

The two of us headed down to Lauren and Julia's room. A still very pumped Lauren answered the door. "Julia still isn't ready!"

From somewhere inside, I heard Julia grumble. "Do I have to?"

Lauren ignored her. "So are you guys excited?"

I shift from foot to foot. "Yes but beyond terrified!"

Devin nodded in affirmation. "Char, you stole my words."

At that moment, Julia pushed the door back open. "I'm ready."

"Finally!" Lauren started skipping down the hallway.

At Joey and Brian's door, I pause and knock but as I knocked, the door swung open, nearly toppling me. "Whoa!"

"Charlie you okay?" Joey grabbed my hand."

"I'm good." Joey and Brian come out of the door.

"You guys heading to Studio 1?" Brian asked us.

"Yeah," Devin said, pointing at the skipping Lauren who's nearly made it to the end of the hallway without us.

The guys laugh and we all go sprinting towards her. I won but Lauren was all confused. Once we got that hot mess all sorted out, the odd bunch of us headed over to the little theatre space. I think my hands would have been shaking if Joey hadn't had a tight grip on one of them. I was so nervous.

Upon arriving to the little studio, we find that everyone's here even if they hadn't auditioned. There's rehearsal for the show Julia and I are directing afterwards because we're now going into tech week. Joey and I sit down in chairs together with Jaime on my other side. We chatted for a bit (Jaime, Joey, Devin, Brian and I) on who we thought would be cast as whom until Matt walked in.

He seemed to still be half asleep. He had what appeared to be a Star Wars pajama shirt on with his jeans and was yawning. He saw us and said: "God guys can't a guy get some sleep?"

"Nope!" Walker screamed.

Matt shook his head. "I guess not. Anyway," he said walking in front where the stage was, "I'm just going to call your names with the parts and y'all just come up."

First he called up Darren who got Harry. Then Matt called up Joey as Ron. He was beaming from ear to ear. "Congrats," I whisper, squeezing his knee.
