I rolled over on my own accord that morning, excited that it was Friday. I had a very easy schedule, with a basic history lecture that morning and my roommate was already off at class. First off I shower, ruining Dev's great straightening job. I delve deep into my clothes to find one of our own tee shirts that proclaimed I was supermegafoxyawesomehot which I matched with a black leather jacket, a pair of black leggings and Converse. I dry my hair quickly and attack the bottom layer with the flat iron because that's all I had time for before class.

Rushing a few blocks away, I adjusted my black beanie compulsively, as my ears started to go numb. I made it to my class just in the nick of time and managed to stay awake for the hour lecture on the importance of the Reynold's Pamphlet. I knew a bunch of people in my class but I wasn't particularly close to them like I was my theatre family so I mainly kept to myself.

After class, I raced back to my room, knowing Devin was still at class. I finished sorting out the mess of my hair, I made sure that I messaged Joey and asked if he wanted to get lunch and coffee. As I waited for his response, I futzed with my face and essentially painted it with makeup, mostly for tonight.

Suddenly, I heard a knock on the door so as I rushed across the room to grab my glasses case, I opened the door. Joey was waiting there. He looked adorable in his jeans and sweatshirt with his little Michigan beanie.

As I place my glasses in the case, he asks, "So are you ready to go out to lunch?"

"Totally," I respond as I snatch my bag up. The two of us clamber down to the cars outside the dorm.

We ride along with Blink-182 seeping out of the speakers as we relax, just happy to once again be in the presence of each other though we saw each other a few hours ago.

It was now totally a habit for us to go out for coffee at this little place. It was just a cute homey place where we started dating so it really did mean a lot to us, not just Joey and I as separate people.

We walked in together just chatting about nothing which was just comfortable. "You really did fantastic last night, Jo," I mention as I grab my coffee and my sandwich off the counter. He grabs his tea and lunch and follows me to the usual window table.

"You know I appreciate that, Charlie." He grabs my free hand as he sips his tea. "You were absolutely great. I think this music really suits and shows off your amazing voice."

In appreciation, I squeezed his hand and murmured thanks through my growing grin. As we sit in a comfortable silence, we sip our warm drinks with the feeling of sleepiness lingering in our heads.

"You should come to California for Thanksgiving."

"I don't know. I really don't want to impose." The requested flustered me a bit because I hadn't thought about the holidays yet since it was only October.

"Charlie, it's not imposing. Since we've come back to school, my parents have asked me what we were doing for various holidays, wondering if you wanted to come out." He put his drink down so he could place his other hand atop mine.

"You know I would love too." I kiss his nose across the table, now that the matter was settled. He pulls his hands back so he could enjoy his warm drink.

As we munch on our lunches, my stomach stops rumbling even though I never realized it started. I tug my leather jacket a bit tighter when I feel the chill of the outside breeze in when the door opened.

"Oh hey Joey. Charlotte," Darren acknowledges us as he walks in. He quickly orders his drink and when he receives it, both Joey and I wave him over. Smiling, he pulls over a chair and joins us. "You guys don't mind? I'm not interrupting or anything?"
