(Four weeks later)
My leg is better. I can walk on it, but no running and jumping. I still have a cast on, but now I can get up. I am so happy, no more having to lay in bed all day. All my siblings have grown closer to James, even dad has. The whole time I was held up in my room, he made every meal for my family. He cleaned the house and watched my siblings. He even had fun while doing it. Today dad is off work so he is going to watch the others and me and James actually get to go out. After lunch we plan to go for a walk and James has some sort of surprise for me. So James and I devour our cheeseburgers and hurry outside. Once we are a good distance from the house, I say, "Wanna go back to the haunted house?" James stops and looks at me like I just said cow's fly. "Are you serious?! That's how your leg got broken in the first place! We are not going there, but I have somewhere better we can go." "Where are we going then?" I ask, eagerly. He simply smiles and intertwines our fingers. After a while, we stop walking and I look up to see we are standing in front of the most wonderful place in the world...... the Library!!! I gasp and rush into the old building. "I will not allow you to risk your life in the haunted house, but we can look up the fire.", James whispers to me. We head to the computer section and I sit down. I type in Meyer Manor fire. The computer comes up with only one result. I click on the link and it takes me to a new page. "It says that Meyor Manor was found on fire on December 16, 2004. The Fire department put the fire out, but deemed that the house was too unsafe to enter so no one knows if the Meyer family was in there or not when the fire occurred." I say to James. He bites his lip and sighs. "This is sad. I mean like no one even did any sort of burial or search for them." I shake my head. After that we couldn't really pull up anything else about the fire. At the bottom of the webpage it said that many people used to think the house was haunted, so no one ever went there. So we just browsed the library. I checked out two books and James got one also. Then we left. We headed home and when we got there we fell asleep on the porch swing.
