"Come here, Dalilah." I sit up and open my eyes. I am sitting on the stone path right in front of the ruins of the mansion. "Hurry, Dalilah!" I stand up and turn around. There is a little brown headed boy around ten years old right in front of me. He looks behind me and then screams. I turn around as an axe goes through me and hits the little boy. "Noooooo!" I shout as I run towards him and then everything fades.
I sit up drenched in sweat. I check my clock, 2:47 am. "It was just a dream." Then I see a dark figure walk towards me. "Are you alright?" he asks as he pushes my hair out of my face. I nod, "Just a bad dream." Chris looks outside and almost looks frustrated. Then he turns back to me. He comes closer and tries to kiss me. I push him away, "Chris!" He instantly pulls away and looks at me with worry. "Im sorry." I look down. This is wrong. "I will see you later." I say a bit ruder than I intended and he is gone before I can look up.
I walk to the veranda and peer down the stone path. I see a white figure at the edge of the woods staring at me and then its gone. I close the doors and curl up in bed. As I begin to doze off Sam wanders in and hops on my bed. I pet his head. "Cant sleep either?" He shakes his head and I sigh. "This has been a crazy summer. I move to a new place, I meet a vampire, a werewolf, and a great guy, I break my leg, meet ghosts, and one of my brothers gets into drugs." His nose twitches and he nuzzles his head into my blankets. I lay down and wrap my arm around the furry wolf. I scratch his ear as I drift off to sleep.
I wake up the next morning to find a naked Sam in my bed. Lets just say he accidentally got punched in the nose. I go downstairs and find Damian and Austin playing checkers. "Where is Audrey?" Damian says, "She's in her room." I head to the kitchen and eat some cereal, then I get dressed. I go into James' room and find him asleep with Sam at his feet, out cold. I walk over to James and push his hair out of his face. I whisper to myself, "I'm so sorry I hurt you. I didn't mean to keep things from you or lie. I just didn't know how to tell you." I turn to walk away and he grabs my hand and pulls me into a hug. I am so shocked that I yelp and wake up Sam. He gets up and hops off the bed. He drags some clothes to the bathroom and James doesnt take his eyes off of me. "Did you mean it?" he questions me with pleading eyes. I smile and nod. He smiles so big it warms my heart.
James and I climb down the veranda with a human Sam. I tell them both about my dream from last night during the long walk. "Last time we were here Elizabeth told us she didnt know what happened to her sons. I think that one of them showed me what happened through a dream." I tell them. "But what about the other son?" Sam says while stepping closer to me. He slips and bumps me, and I feel sparks all up my arm. I shrug. We walk along in silence until I trip over something and fall on my face. "Are you alright, Dalilah?", Sam says as James helps me up. I nod. I stand up and turn around to see that I tripped over a pendant half stuck under a stone. I pull it out and the gem in the pendant looks just like the stones on the path. I stick it in my pocket as we reach the clearing.
