I wake up in my room with a massive headache. How did I get home? I get up and go to James’ room. He is in bed asleep. Sam isn’t in there. I go downstairs and don’t see him, so I go outside. He is at the bottom of the stairs naked. “Sam!” I rush down to him and shake him. He opens his eyes. “You did it. You killed Annalise. I carried you home and James put you to bed.”
“Come on.” I help him up and into the house. He is freezing. I carry him into the boys’ bathroom and tell him, “Get a shower and I’ll get you some clothes.” I shut the door and go back to my room. I stopped Annalise and Chris. Now there are no more witches. I saved the last werewolf and the last two elves. There is no telling how many other supernatural creatures have been hiding out that I have saved. Now I just have to help the Meyers.
When Sam comes in I am on my veranda. “Your clothes are on my bed. I need to put them in James’ room for you. I need to ask my dad if we can keep the dog we found.” He laughs and come over and hugs me. “I was so scared we wouldn’t make it out of there.” I hug him tight. “Me too. Now we just have to make sure Terry gets arrested.” Sam nods. I let go of him and one of my visions comes to mind.
I walk over to my dresser and get the necklace out that I found on the stone path. “John and Peter told me to get rid of it. This must be how she found us”, I state. I examine it and see nothing out of the ordinary. “What was that?”, Sam says. “What?” “What were you just mumbling?” “Sam, I wasn’t mumbling.” He takes the necklace from me and holds it to his ear. “Annalise cursed this. Part of her soul is in this. She is chanting in another language. Probably trying to get out.” He crushes it and a high-pitched scream rings in my ears.
He throws the remains in the trash. He comes over and holds out his hand. I take it and he smirks. In one swift movement he spins me and dips me. We both laugh. “You are the most amazing girl I have ever met.” I kiss him. He pulls away. “Are you over James?”, he whispers. “I am. I see him as a friend now. I am pretty sure he feels the same. I know you guys got in a fight, but that was because he wanted to help.” “Are you sure?”, Sam asks again.
“The day that Damian almost drowned, James and I stayed at the lake and watched the twins. He told me that he sees me as a friend and that he has no romantic feelings towards me anymore. He is just happy to have such a big family. I feel the same. He also brought up how I kept looking at you and I told him I like you and he said that we’ll be a cute couple.”
He smiles and hugs me again. “So, Dalilah Daniels, will you be my girlfriend?” I kiss him and my face tingles. When I pull away there is a spark. He laughs, but I am concerned. “Did that hurt you?” He shakes his head and I tell him, “Now does that answer your question?” he kisses me and nods. “Now go get to bed.”, I order. He leaves my room and I get into bed, feeling like a big weight has been lifted.
