This is unbelievable. I follow James down the hall and onto the elevator. He crumbles to the floor and starts to cry. I hug him as he sobs. I cant believe all of the crazy things I've seen today, but out of all of them this is by far the most sad.

(Dalilah)

I run back to my house as tears stream down my face. What James said keeps ringing in my ears. The boy I like is my half brother! I have to talk to my dad. I get home and take note of where everyone is. Audrey, Austin, and Damian are all in the living room watching T.V. My dad is in the kitchen on his laptop. Without a word I walk up to him and pull him upstairs to my room.

I lock the door behind me and say, "I need to talk to you, will you please sit down." He sits on my bed and replies with, "Okay, what about?" I cross my arms and look him in the eye as I say, "Did you date a woman from here eighteen years ago?" He covers his face with his hands and then lets them fall to his lap. "I did before I ever met your mother." "I know the whole story. Her name was Mary. She was married to Terry Hulsey and they had one son and she had another that wasn't his. He beat her and her son after his son died. When you wrote her that you were marrying mom she decided it was best to not tell you that she was pregnant."

My dad looks so sad and shocked. "James is your son. Me and him are done. Terry hates James cause he isnt his son. Terry beat Mary to death because she was going to leave him for you." My dad begins to cry and in between sobs he says, "After your mother died I had no clue what to do. So I wrote Mary and told her what happened and she told me what had been going on and we were going to get back together and Dalilah I am so sorry about James." He holds out his arms and I run into them and we cry together.
