Yoongi ran his hand across the hard stone planted into the ground. He traces the engraving over and over as he sat there in grass.

He sighs before writing more useless lyrics into his notebook. It was getting hard to see since Yoongi had stayed there all day.

It was now night. He didn't know what time it was, but he didn't care. He just wanted to stay with him a bit longer.

"Hey, Yoongi. We're locking up." Yoongi looked up to see the owner of the cemetery's son, Jin. Yoongi didn't want to leave, but he didn't want Jin to get mad at him so he packed up his stuff.

"You're coming back tomorrow, right?" Jin asks crossing his arms.

Yoongi nods, of course he is, and slings his bag over his shoulder. Jin hums somewhat concerned, but doesn't say anything more.

Yoongi glanced at the grave of his old friend one last time before walking home.

On the way, Yoongi decided to pick up a few bottles of soju because he's all out. He drinks one as he walks into his house.

His mom looks up from her book to see Yoongi walking straight past her not saying a word. She sighs annoyed at him.

"'I'm home, mom,' how hard is that to say? Brat," his mom spits as he climbs the stairs to his room. "Your dad will be home soon! Come down and help with dinner!"

Yoongi settles his stuff down and takes his jacket off before going back down stairs to help his mom with dinner.

He set the table as his mother kept talking to him about his future, and how he should transfer collages because he went to a performing arts school.

"Yoongi, how on earth do you think you can make music when you don't talk?" She went on and on, but Yoongi just kept quiet letting every word cut at his confidence.

He didn't care if his mom doubted him, but sometimes she does get to him and he feels discouraged.

Yoongi's dad comes and he pats Yoongi on the shoulder and gives him a reassuring smile.

"Ya, let him do what he wants for now. He's still just a kid, Hun." Yoongi frowned. He hated being called a kid. Even after he turned 20 they still treated him like one.

Yoongi's mom give his dad a glare and rolls her eyes. "When he fails it will be all on you then." Yoongi balled his fists and opened his mouth to say something...

But the words never came.

Yoongi exhaled and took a seat at the dinning table. His parents stood there watching him pick at his food before they started to eat too.

After dinner Yoongi went straight to his bed. He could faintly hear his mom squealing at his dad about how he almost said something, almost.

But Yoongi has been mute for almost three years now.

He's not going to miraculously recover so easily.

Yoongi pulled the covers up over his head, pulling his lyric book under with him. He used his flashlight to see as he wrote down more meaningless words.

He did that all night until class the next day.
