And this is a curse of high senses; my mouth still hung off seeing Kiba sadly flat on the ground squirming and covering his nose from Naruto's 'special move'.

I walked down; not before hearing my team mate mumble 'I told you so' and went toward where the ninjas took Kiba and Akamaru away. The infirmary room was quiet unlike my time in here where everyone just wanted to come in at a special moment for Christ sake. My body found a spot on the foot of their bed.
"What a drag, Kiba wake up, I know your not dozed off" I grinned watching him open his eyes and start whining saying "I want a rematch!"
"With that fart brain? OK have fun smelling like ramen and over due milk" I chuckled.
Akamaru soon crept onto my lap making himself comfortable and went to sleep. As Kiba kept murmuring insults about that recent battle looking away from me to the side crossing his arms like what a child would do when he doesn't get his way, but that's my-our Kiba for you.
I stretched my hand out to him to get his attention but he just turned more sideways. Moving my hand back to my side slowly until finally let his hand wrap itself around mine and a soft melody found itself spinning in my head that came out of my mouth in a humming matter swaying my head to the rhythm of it. It was a lovely rhythm that mother would make when I was young.
"Akaruikage" Kiba whined once more.
"Yes KiKi-kun" I sung out.
"Your song is making me fall asleep and I don't wanna"
I turned my head to see him already sitting up looking straight at me pulling off a puppy eyes scheme that I have a hard time saying no to. The hand of mine that was still inside his felt warmer and sent this spark up and down inside of me with comfort. I looked back at him away from our hands to his black slit eyes that always held something unique in them and I swear I can feel heat rising up around us.
"What's wrong Kiba?" I asked. He answered with a shrug "It's nothing"
Then talked again, "But Akaruikage... Ummm I thought maybe after this we could go-"
Kiba's words were cut down when yelling and loud talking was occurred and no later the bushy brow guy came out the room in a bed letting me see his leg and arm covered in sand and blood.The scent of it was terrible to our noses; I couldn't depart my eyes from the sight of the boy's unconscious face and groans that he held down in a muffled note.
A sturdy voice man brought me out of my thoughts to the incident and said I had to go back to the field with the others. I nodded my head, my red marked friend gave my hand a light squeeze before completely letting go and carefully placed his pal back to his side. I stood up, outreaching my arms ready to leave, opening the door I looked back at the two who were both knocked out snoring making me sweat drop.

"One, congratulations on *cough* making it to the next section of the exams which will lead to th-e finals, *coughing hazard* *cough-cough*. Now please pull out a stick from *cough* the box" The proctor said in between coughs.
There stood ,9 people besides me which included Naruto, the purple kat, his friend, Achime, Gaara, Shino, Dosu, duck butt, and Neji feeling relief that one of my team mates made it. One by one we all had our chance to pick from a small box and got a number in return; by luck I had my favorite number 3 and the Sensei held out a sheet of white paper to show who's going against who.
'I'm going against Dosu from the Hidden Sound, after what he did to my friends and I and from what I heard Team 7 & 9. This one's gonna be a pain, great'
"I don't know what the hell was that you pulled back there earlier. But I hope your ready to die kid" The Sound ninja mumbled to me.
Pushing me at my shoulder he walked away after we all got the permission to leave and train for a whole month from the Hokage.
"Hear that Akaruikage, I'm just one more test away from being Hokage!" Naruto shouted at me.
I nodded my head with a smile not feeling the moment to say anything, only wanting to rest on a very special hill in mind. A arm wrapped around my shoulder viewing Choniko giving me a wide grin with a chuckle through his teeth and Rozu Sensei and Achime walking their way toward us in a slow pace.
"Congrats Achime and Akaruikage y'all did excellent" She announced ruffling Cho's hair.
My mind wondered off to a question I been meaning to ask "Who did y'all go against?"
"Oh yeah, Akarui you were still in the little hospital from your fight, but I got to fight Temari but she won and Achi fought Ten Ten- the girl with the buns in her head. " Choniko explained.
(That way Temari still won in a battle and Ten ten sadly not winning and mixed it with the boys)
"Gomen'nasai Cho, I wish you would have won" I said hugging him in a friendly way.
"It's OK Akarui-chan, I let her win" He smiled.
"Wait, What?". Confused now
Choniko scratched the back of his head in embarrassment explaining how his caring side came out during his match and thought that the Temari girl needed the winning spot more, so he let her win thinking that one of her attacks hit him hard. Well, that's one thing that Choniko can never stop doing, being a caring ninja who puts others needs before his own even if that meant not being at Chunin level. My friends smile never smudged or frowned sending a light of happiness wherever he went, he's a good guy.
"Akaruikage! Come on Rozu Sensei said she'll treat us to dango now!" Choniko shouted happily.
Getting out of my thoughts and ran out with them following everyone else in a clear path out of the woods in one piece. I walked in silence stuffing my hands in pockets walking beside Sensei where the two boys are in front of us whispering to one another hearing them slightly.
"You know you got whipped in your tournament right?" Achime whispered
"Just shut up, I didn't want Akarui to know that I got kicked badly by that girl" Cho replied
"And y'all know y'all are terrible at whispering, right" I said bluntly
They both jolt up by surprise with shrieks that were unresistable to laugh to. Sensei shook her head and walked on with her hand on my shoulder.
"Wait!" Choniko froze
"What"
"Guess what?" His smile never leaving which gave us time to try and figure out what it is looking back at the cheery boy.
"TEAM 3 MADE IT TO THE FINALS!!!!!!"
