It's been around four months since I left England with my fake boyfriend - now real boyfriend - it's pretty confusing. We are now on holidays and I am currently eating ice-cream with Sophie waiting for Nate at Ricky's diner.
"Four months huh?" Sophie nods her head seeming impressed and takes a large spoonful of ice cream, "The good thing is you both have worked out your differences and are now together right?" She smiles with her mouth stuffed. I think of the things that we have both done to get this far in our relationship. It was all worth it, it really was but the pit in my stomach said otherwise and Sophie could tell as well. "I'm just worried about what you're going to do when this whole thing is over though. I don't want you getting hurt," She tells me continuing to demolish what's left of the sundae.
Her statement makes me lose my appetite and I push the bowl towards her with a frown on my face. She notices my concern and says, "I know you don't want to think or talk about it at all but you will eventually have to think of the outcome here and what will happen. But for the mean time live in the now and don't worry about the future okay?" As much as I didn't want to even think of the next two years, Sophie was right, she was always right. I had to stop worrying, live and have fun with the amount of time I would have with Nate.
But I was worried I would get my heart broken in the process. Sophie smiles softly and takes the last spoonful nodding her head out the window. I follow her gaze and there he was, getting out of his car and walking towards the doors of the diner. He looks around and spots us sitting at a bench in the corner of the room. He smiles his pearly white smile at us and walks over; He puts one of his hands on my back and greets Sophie, then asks me if I'm good to go. I grab my shoulder bag and take his extended hand as we walk to the car while throwing a small wave to Sophie.
"Hey baby, how was your day?" Nate grins lacing our fingers together, bringing it up to his lips and kisses the top of my hand. I giggle and rest my head on his shoulder kissing his cheek as he drives off.
"It was good. I'm just a bit tired, that's all," I say as I hear my stomach rumbling, Nate chuckles and pulls into a Thai food take away place. "What are we doing here?" I ask looking around the area.
"Well I'm guessing you didn't eat anything at the diner otherwise your stomach wouldn't be whining," He says getting out of the car and comes over to take my hand in his again.
"You're in a good mood today," I grin taking a look at his face.
"Yeah, I don't know what it is but I felt like shit before I came to pick you up. My father is driving me crazy, but seeing you finally today it's relaxing," He says to me and opens the door making his way towards the menus.
We decide on what we want to eat and place our order in. We wait for about fifteen minutes until the lady gives us our order and we then make our way back to the house. As we get closer to the gate of 'the palace' Nate picks up the speed and goes straight past it. I give him a questionable look and shrug, after a few more minutes of driving I start to recognise the area. Its dark when Nate stops the car I beam at him and jump out of the car, running towards the clearing. As I step through it's even more beautiful during the night, it's our place. I walk towards the flowers to where we sat last time and looked around the landscape, in the little pond there are ducks swimming together near the waterfall splashing in the water. The wind picked up and it starts to look like the flowers and grass are dancing. Nate walks over and lays a little blanket on the grass and sits down opening his arms for me to follow him. I grin and crouch down then lay my back into his chest and look up at the sky. It's outrageously splendid as the clouds cover half of the moon making it's light beam through like rays and the stars shine much brighter here than in the city.
