Dork Diaries: Gwen's Story

Friday 14th September.

Tomorrow is my birthday ....Yeey.
I can't wait. Everything is set. The cake , the snacks ,the music, the invitations, the pool and my parents promised to stay out of the way. All day I kept staring at the clock. But it kept going slower than usual.

The only thing I didn't have was an awesome outfit to wear. Oh and I also needed a swimsuit since the other one....well..there was an accident with the laundry machine. It shrank Into a barbie doll blue sized one piece bathing suit.

So Kim, Skyler and I decided to go shopping. Yeeeey. I mean what gal doesn't like shopping with her bff?

Immediately after school was over, we marched to the mall. Before we could even start shopping, Kim fell in love with this auburn red Madile Deride purse that she saw window shopping. She just had to have it. "It would look super cute with my Red leather boots" Kim said. So we had to enter the store and buy it. Since we were in there, we decided to look around. Skyler got this hot pink top that said 'dream big' and she instantly fell in love. "This is too cute to leave behind" She said "Well go try it on"I said. She ran into the dressing room and changed. "How do I look?" She said modeling out of the dressing room."gorgeous" I said. "Devine" said Kim. Skyler bought the top and we went out to another store.

We searched so many stores that I lost count. Luckily, I found a cute orange mini dress. I plan to wear it tomorrow. Kim and Skyler really love it. So the only thing that was left was my swimsuit. We searched everywhere for the perfect one. We decided to stop at the food court to order some smoothies. "Where should we go next?"Skyler said taking a sip out of her smoothie. "Idk we've searched everywhere and my feet are killing me" I whinned. "Not every where. There's this store that sell the best bikinis but there really expensive. I think we should check it out." Kim said. We just stared at her in disbelief. "What?" She asked. " Really.. Now you tell us? Let's go." Skyler said

We rushed to that store and there it was. The bikini , the beautiful coral pink bikini. It was perfect. "If I don't get that bikini there is no use of living" I said. Kim and Skyler both laughed at my joke. What they didn't know is that I was not joking.

I checked the price and WOW that was expensive. I didn't have that kind of money "I can't afford that guys. Its just too expensive."I said disappointedly. "Its okey Gwen. We'll find a solution."Skyler said hugging me tight. It made me feel a lot better. " Okey this is an emergency" Kim said digging into her purse. We stared at her again. "Aaha here it is " she said removing a credit card from her wallet. "My dad gave me This in case of emergencies. And if this aint an emergency then I don't know what is."

I can't believe she would do that for me. She's the best. Ever. "I can't Let you do this Kim. " What do you mean you can't let me do this.We argued for a long time. A really long time. But at the end Kim bought the bikini for me. I was happy and kinda embarrassed. anyway she is the best. And after shopping, we bought more smoothies. Then walked home together.
