Dork Diaries: Gwen's Story

Thursday 27th September

Today I helped Skyler hung her remaining posters. So far she is 5th with79 votes. Which is good. Meanwhile Jennifer is fourth with 88 votes. Which is really bad.

Skyler wants to beat her really bad. Oh and today at breakfast I asked Glen who he was taking to the dance.

" I wasn't even planning to go," he said. I knew it was because of Jennifer.

So I comforted him, " look Glen, somewhere out there is a girl who likes you for you...and I might just ....know who she is," his face suddenly lit up.

"Really! Who...tell me... tell me," he said shaking me

I made a promise to Skyler that I wasn't gonna tell him even though I could do her a huge favour.

" Sorry, I made a promise not to tell anyone," I said.

He must have begged a thousand times but I just stood my grounds and gave him a clean No. He then had an idea. "You can't tell me right," he said "but you can show me,"

I thought for a while. It wasn't like I was breaking a promise. Was it?

Mum dropped us at school and I went to my locker, Glen following me eager to know his secret crush. I can't believe I agreed to show him.

I looked everywhere for Skyler. Where could she be?

I finally spotted her at the water fountain. "There she is," I pointed at Skyler.

Glen's eyes widen and he started blushing. Just then guilt rushed into me. 'I'm a horrible friend.'

"Wow! Skyler. I had no idea." He whispered to me. "She's really pretty and I'm flirtered but I don't think she's really.....my.....type."he said.

I couldn't believe I heard him say that.
What a jerk." Really Glen. What is wrong with you. All boys are the same. I mean you wouldn't know the perfect girl if she stood right in front of your face and told you she was the one," I snapped.

"Hey jezz. Take a pill," he said then left.

Ugh. Poor Sky. I broke my promise and now look at the results.

At lunch in the cafeteria. Rex came to sit with us since Ken was there, and soon Sky and I learnt that Ken had already asked Kim to the dance and she said yes. I'm tots happy for her. Plus their names match. Kim and Ken.
We just couldn't help but make fun of them

"Kim and Ken sitting on a tree.......kissing" Sky, Rex and I sang.
"Aaagh. Stop being so childish," Kim said rolling her eyes and blushing a little bit.

I had a feeling that Rex wanted to ask Skyler but he never knew how to.

Anyway got to go. I'm gonna be late for class

I've been trying to avoid Justin like a plague. I can't face him after what happened. He played me like a........a.......guiter. Maybe he was just using me to make Jennifer jealous so they could get back together.

Ugh. Forget about him. He's just a boy.
No need to cry over a boy.

I even had to cancel our Thursday studies by text. I lied that I had Malaria and I was going to the hospital after school. I feel horrible for lying to him.

Oh ya and there is more bad news. Today at dinner, Glen announced that they found he and his band will be playing in the Fall Fest Dance since they found a guitarist

"He can play anything, name it. He told us he's been going for music school since he was little." Glen said. I have to admit I was really excited to meet this guy.
"And what's his name," mum asked

"Justin Hearst," (*_*)(*_*)(*_*)!!!!!!!!!!!

I almost fell of my seat. Justin, it can't be Justin. Oh crud. Now he'll be at my house tomorrow practicing all afternoon.
If I see him I'll just die of embarrasments.
