Dork Diaries: Gwen's Story

Friday 28th September

Kim ,Skyler and I are going shopping for the perfect dress for today. Well..... that's what every girl in my school is doing coz they waited till the last minute. I can't wait.

Oh BTW, Jennifer is so far first in the princess list. Ugh. And Skyler is fifth.

And something huge happened today. It all started at first period when Rex came to me.

"Hi Gwen..... I..I came to ask you for some advice," he said

"Shot," I said putting some books in my locker.

"Okey so there's this girl I wanna ask to the dance but I'm afraid she'll say no. So should I take the chances of being rejected by the girl or should I not even ask her because every time I get around her. I panick and get really sweaty and I just can't speak. "He said

I had a huge hunch it was Skyler. Daa

It's true though. He usually acts like he's constipated or something. And Skyler has no idea Rex has a huge crush on her.

Anyway I told him to just take a deep breathe and ask her confidently
"plus if she rejects you, you can't blame yourself for trying." I said

I saw a big smile grow on his face. "Thanks Gwen," he said then ran off. Glen suddenly popped out as he left.

"What's that all about?" Glen asked.

"Oh....Rex wants to ask Skyler to the dance and he came for some last minute advice. " I said still stacking books in my locker.

He's face then turned gloomy.

"What.......Rex.......Skyler......No," he freaked out.

I looked at him In shock ,my mouth dangling wide open that a fly could enter in ease.

"No way." I said holding my hips " You like Skyler,"

"What..no I don't like her..as I said she's not my type.,"he said about to walk away.

Then it hit me. The reason he was rejecting it.
"Glen I know why you are like this. Don't forget we are twins and we have a special connection. You're scared that Skyler will brake your heart just like Jennifer did."

"That's not true," I looked deep into his chocolate brown eyes so that he couldn't lie to me "Maybe.......Okey its true. I'm afraid of being hurt again." Stummered Glen

"Glen, Skyler is a nice girl. Believe me. She would never do that......" The bell then rang.

" You didn't listen to me twice. Here's the time you could change that." I said then left.

At lunch. Skyler , Kim and I were outside just talking when the craziest thing happened. A bunch of cheerleaders came towards us. "Give me an S give me a K give me a Y . What's that spell SKY." They cheared doing a bunch of acrobatics.

I expected to see Rex running towards her with a bunch of beautiful flowers asking her to the dance but instead I saw GLEN!! Yeey.

"Skyler, would you be my date to the dance." He said not only holding flowers but with a box of chocolate.

Skyler didn't hesitate to say YES. It was just so romantic ❤❤❤. I would have totally melted.

I felt sorry for Rex. He really wanted Skyler to go with him. Poor guy.

After school everyone was pretty match at the mall looking for the perfect dress.

Lucky for me, I scored a short pretty pink dress that I almost lost my hair for. It was the one. My bff found beautiful dresses too. All we needed were the shoes. After searching and searching, we found a store that sold the best shoes. And alas! There they were........ the perfect shoes. Shoes that you would rob a bank, get arrested and get locked up for thirty years so that they could be yours. Yap, those shoes.

I had enough money to pay for them. (Thank goodness.)

After buying our shoes, we went to the salon and had a meni- pedi.......oh and also had our hair done.Then went home.

Justin , Glen and Martin stopped practicing a few minutes after came back from the mall so I only saw Justin being picked by his older brother. I didn't want to make any eye contact at all.
Then it dawned on me. My friends had dates but I didn't. They would dance there nights away while I'll be all alone eating ice cream and sitting on the lonely table. By myself

Why tag alone when I'll be the third wheel? Why even go to that stupid dance? I've made up my mind.

I'm not going and that is final(ಥ_ಥ)
