Dork Diaries: Gwen's Story

Wednesday 19th September

That stupid fall fest thing is getting on my last nerve. The party is days away and some popular freaks like Jennifer  are already putting up posters that say we should vote for her.

Like I'm ever gonna do that. And guess what, today she was actually nice to me. "Hey bff, Siz from another crib," she said all sweetly that it almost made teeth rot.

"Are you talking to me be coz last time I checked, I'm None of that to you,"I said sizing her. "What do you mean, you and I are like besties" she said pretending to be sad and all. "whatever  Jennifer would you stop pretending and cut to the chase,"

"OK fine. I know you are like totally jealous of me and you want to have my perfect life. You can have a smig of my life. A sleepover at my place IF you vote for me as Fall feast princess." She said.

I couldn't believe Miss popular was actually begging for votes. I laughed so hard my ribs hurt. "Me vote for you. Hahahahaha. That is historical. Hahahaha." I then got serious. "Over my d-e-a-d body."

She just stared at me in shock. Then she smiled wickedly "Well that could be arranged".Ugh. The only things she was missing were some horns, wings and fangs or I would have totally mistaken her for the devil. She then flipped her hair and walked away.

I then saw Kim ran towards me squealing like crazy. "You won't believe what happened," we said in unison. "I'll go first," Kim said. "In the morning before classes, I met  Jennifer hanging posters for the you know fall feast. Then the strangest thing happened. She told me if i vote for her as fall princess, I get to go for a sleepover at her place." I started laughing again and Kim joined me, "that has just happened to me right now,"I said still laughing. "I turned her down baaaaad.," said Kim "me too"I said almost falling down.

We decided to check  the school web to see whose at the top at winning that princess fall thing. And this is the list;

Wow. I feel kinda sorry for her. 21 votes. That's tough. Well...the only advice I can give her is to pull up her socks and go back to the drawing board.

Ohh Gosh. I can be a total clutz in front of Justin. Today at class, I wasn't focusing  at all when Mr. Jinken was talking. I was thinking about what Justin ment when we were chatting in what's app. Remember?. Out of nowhere , the teacher gives us a test.

I never heard what he instructed us to do and he was going around checking everyone's work. I started franicking (freaking out and panicking. Where did I hear that word??)

So I improvised by........mixing chemicals together. Genius
' a little yellow stuff over here and some purple staff over here. Oh and a dash of blue' I thought in my head while mixing the chemicals. It suddenly started bubbling. 'I'm gonna pass this' I said to myself.

Mr Jinkins came to my table. "Ms Johnson. What is this?" He asked . "um....well....uh...." I stammered. Suddenly foam came out. I started to get a little scared. Okey a lot scared, Mr Jenkins then went for a closer look. "I don't think you should get too close si....." I said. "Hash I know my chemicals," he bragged. Suddenly, it exploded right in his face! He caughed and caughed. The entire class was dying of laughter. The chemicals burnt all the hair on his face. His eye brows, lashes. His cool mustache and beard.

I couldn't help it laugh even though it was kinda my fault. "Y'all think this is funny. I'm gonna see the nurse and I expect you to be quite. As for you miss Johnson, detention."

"But sir... She told you not to go too close." Justin defended me. Omg I couldn't believe he did that. That guy just keeps on impressing me. "Mr Hearst. Are you talking back at me. Detention for you too,"he yelled. I think that teacher has some loose bolts up there or is it those chemicals that made him lose his mind because I'm willing to help him find it. I went over to Justin and apologized for getting him into trouble. "You never got me into trouble, I just thought Mr Jinkins was on the wrong and you are right," he said putting his hands in his pockets.
I was blushing like crazy.'he thinks I'm right'

For the first time in my life, I was looking forward to detention.
