Maybe It's Meant to Be (A Luke Brooks Love Story)

Chapter 15

Jaime's Pov:

Luke and I had been wanting to prank jai for ages and failed each time we tried but now that we had skylar with us we knew three against one was a war well claimed.

"So what are we exactly going to do to him?" asked Luke

Skylar pulled out a small notepad and took notes of the few ideas we could come up with.

"What about something Ariana related? after all he has been obsessing over her for the past week" i told them

Skylar and Luke both looked at each other and grinned, i guessed they were going somewhere with my  brilliant idea. 

"Ding Ding Ding!  we have a winner!"cried Skylar jumping on the bed

"That is by far the best one" she added

more like the only one we had, i laughed at my own thought and got back to the planning. we were gonna get him good, but not to the level where he would hate us for ruining his hopes.

"I know I know I know!" jumped Skylar

Luke and I laughed waiting for her to release her ideas.

"yes Sky?"

"Let's make him hate her!" she smirked

okay maybe she was taking this too far, what was with her and the annoyance of Jai and Ariana? i lost complete focus on the whole prank and wondered off to what could have possibly been bothering my best friend.

"Hello? Earth to jaime!" called Luke

I shook off the thought and smiled at him giving him a quick peck on the lips.

"Sorry lost thought over there" i answered looking over at Skylar

I walked over to her and pulled her to the side making Luke eye us with confusion.

"What's wrong Jaime?" asked Skylar

"With me? nothing now with you i don't know" I answered

She eyed me and sighed

"How do you read me like that?"

i smiled proudly to myself and laughed

"Cause you're my best friend now why are you so caught up with Jai and Ariana?" 

Skylar sighed and shrugged

"I don't know Jaime i guess i sorta have maybe gotten feelings for him"

i gasped

"How did you not tell me about this Sky?" i asked sounding even more shocked

Luke looked at both of us curiously and i kept my voice down

Skylar looked down

"I guess i felt like a horrible friend since they surprised me all of a sudden back when you both have been dating but i didn't want any problems to go down between us since i'd pick you over anything and shook them off since they weren't that big of a deal back then but after you two broke it off they came flying back and smacked me right in the chest" she explained

i stood there shocked and looked at skylar as she carried a worried expression. i'm guessing she thought i'd be mad or something since all of my life i thought Jai and I would turn into something meaningful which as we all know didn't. Now that i was with Luke none of that made me angry as a matter of fact Skylar and Jai would've looked adorable together.

I looked at skylar and smiled at her

"Go get em tiger"

Her eyes widen at my answer

"You're not mad?"

i shook my head "Of Course not, the love of my life is standing there like an idiot trying to figure out what the hell we are talking about, now you and Jai should write your story."

Skylar shed a few tears and pulled me in for a long hug.

"Okay i had enough what the hell is going on?!" cried Luke

Skylar and I shared a look and laughed

"I told you so"
