"Somewhere?"

Chloe grabbed at the ends of the door and pulled up. Not budging it at all. "This is a lot heavier than before." She lifted again. It was locked from the inside. Tears ran down her face. She tugged the door over and over again until she fell. "H-help me Warren. It won't move at all."
"Don't breakdown now Chloe. You can't help Max in this state. Take a breath, and I'll try to figure something out." Warren replied. He stared at the lock, and then glanced around the barn while trying to brainstorm ideas.
Chloe listened to Warren and took a deep breath. "Max used the ropes or something to get it open. But all the ropes are gone now." She got up. "Wouldn't you think there would be some kind of emergency exit? Somewhere?"
Warren shrugged. "I don't see why not..." He began searching the floor for more hidden and loose panels.
Frank pushed Max in front of Nathan, making sure she had a clear view. He grabbed the duct tape and taped the legs to the ground so she couldn't roll away. He walked to the couch and sat. Waiting for them to wake up.
"Its so hard to tell if something was just broken in the storm, or if its a way in.." Warren sighed.
Nathan slowly opened his eyes to the bright white lights shining. He recognized he was still in the dark room.
Chloe tried to remember where the walls were in the dark room hoping that there was a path from one of them. She ran around clearing different areas and finding nothing. "Ow!" Chloe tripped on what seemed like a root. She pulled her knee to her knee to her chest. Blood dripped down her leg. "Warren!"
Max lifted her head up and opened her eyes. All she saw the shadow of a person in front of her. She let her eyes adjust and soon realized it was Nathan. She tried to talk but could hardly move her lips from the tape.
"Looks like you two finally woke up." He got up and walked between Max and Nathan. "Max. Every time I ask you to tell me your secret, and you refuse, Nathan will get some form of injury. So I recommend that you tell me right away."
Warren heard a crash, followed by the calling of his name. He followed over to the sounds source, only to find Chloe on the ground. "Are you alright?" He asked as he came up to a crouch next to her.
Nathan leaned over to make eye contact with Max. He shook his head, hoping she knew that she didn't have to tell him. Who knows what Frank would do if he found out. Nathan pulled on his bindings, hoping to ease them up enough to slip free.
"I tripped over something." She cringed as she tried to touch. Her hands hovered over her injured knee. She dragged herself over to the 'branch' she tripped on and cleared the floor.
Frank walked closer to Max and tore of her tape. "Now tell me, Max." He walked over to a shelf that only Nathan could see. He took a rope and covered it with his shirt.
Max said nothing. She didn't want him to hurt Nathan. She tried to tear the tape, but Frank put too many layers over her hands. But she had only put one layer around Nathan's.
Warren examed Chloe's knee. "Its a bad scratch, but its just a bad one. Nothing serious." He looked over to what she seemed to have tripped over. It definitely didn't look like anything familiar enough to him.
Nathan squinted to see what Frank had grabbed. Once he realized what it was, he looked back to Max. Nathan tugged at the tape around his legs first. If he got his legs free, he could at least kick Frank if the chance was there. He continued to pull against the tape.
Chloe continued to clear the floor. "It's a door." She lifted it up. "A locked door." She continued to lift it.
"You're not going to tell me." Frank walked to Nathan. "Have it your way." He lifted the rope and whipped it around Nathan's arm.
"NO! Stop!" Max squirmed pushing against the tape. "Nathan! Frank, stop!"
Warren helped her tug on the door. He sighed in defeat. "Should we try to break it instead..? We won't be stealthy, but we need to get down there as soon as possible." He suggested
Nathan winced in agony. He tried to calm himself down and subside the stinging pain on his arm. 'You're alright, just breathe' he told himself in his head. Nathan managed to loosen up one of the bindings on his legs. He didn't take it off completely, so Frank wouldn't notice.
