With passing time, Janasvi's trust in Rikhil grew. She managed to balance their relationship with her part time job and the dance academy. She hadn't had much education but as a child She had shown great interest in books... Which made her English fluent enough for communication without embarrassment. When Rikhil saw her limited vocabulary, he decided to help. It was like class 2 again. Every night he'd brief her on 10 new words and her job was to learn their meaning and proper pronunciation, figure of speech, etc within 24hrs. He'd test her on them the following night. It was a kiss for every right answer. Rikhil surely enjoyed it. It was a good time pass and it helped improve her vocabulary greatly. Then, he started getting books from a nearby library. She had to read a chapter to him every night as a bedtime story and then explain its meaning to him. It was hilarious but she was grateful for his help. He even taught her how to cook. Obviously she knew the basics but he taught her his tips and secrets and dishes she'd never even heard of. At this date, she was an amazing cook, owing it all to Rikhil.

She managed to stay off anti depressants for months, not feeling the need for them in the joyful atmosphere surrounding her. It was an achievement for Rikhil which gave him internal pleasure. She was grateful that his determination had helped her out so much.

It wasn't just friendship blooming between the two but love from within, that had been hidden by both parties. Janasvi always felt insecure of her past and Rikhil always felt that she needed his understanding more than anything else. It was true.

In fact jealousy rose from Vivian and Tehja but these two were least affected. Burning in the flames of their own jealousy, they began to carry grudges and hatred for their desired mate's spouse or partner. For instance, Tehja carried grudges and hatred for Janasvi while Vivian did the same with Rikhil. They did try pretty hard to sabotage Rikhil and Janasvi's relationship but only ended up making it stronger. Until that one night, they'd stooped so low, so low that they ought to drown themselves in a bucket of water.

*******************************
Rikhil was in the shower when Janasvi's phone rang.

"Hey baby sis." It was her dear cousin, Samraat, an elder brother figure.

"Hey Bhai."

"Hey, Could you run down in a minute. I wanted to drop some stuff off I'd brought back from Aussie... I'd be happy to see you for a bit too. It's just that I have a surgery scheduled in an hour. I'll be outside your apartment in a minute."

"Alright, see ya then."

She put the phone down and thought about what to do. She knocked on the bathroom door but received no answer.

She stuffed her phone into her pocket and walked out of the apartment. She saw Vivian at his door. His apartment was right next to hers, separated by the stairs leading down.

Her breath caught in her throat. She decided to ask a favor off him for this once. She turned to him and asked him to inform Rikhil, that she'd only gone down to see her brother incase he came looking for her. She rushed down the stairs as her phone buzzed once again.

Rikhil stepped out of the apartment just a couple of seconds after her departure. He looked at Vivian but preferred not to bother with him. Vivian on the other hand found this amusing and found it to be an opportunity to ignite a fire between the two. With a smirk on his face, he said, "looking for your lover, aren't you."

Rikhil tried as hard as he could to ignore him. It was hard. He turned to leave but was stopped by a comment passed by Vivian.
