When you fall in love, it's amazing-the falling- but when you hit the ground, it hurts and you realize how hard you fell. As a reminder of the most painful time, all you're left with is your sanity against your memories. ~Anonymous.
He walked straight to the canteen as that was where Vivian normally spent his lunch time- flirting with the girls passing by.
Tehja was on one of the corner benches smooching a guy probably a year or two older, maybe more.
Rikhil let Janasvi's hand free and walked up to Vivian. Without giving Vivian time to react, Rikhil punched him in the face. For sure there'll a black eye there by tonite.
"Rikhil," Janasvi ran forward, "Lets leave."
"Hey," Vivian objected in a polite, misleading manner. Vivian returned the punch taking Rikhil off guard and managed to get blood dripping out of Rikhil's nose.
"Rikhil lets just go." Janasvi begged him.
Rikhil shoved her aside and threw another punch at Vivian. "You dare not be seen near my Janasvi again or you will see the worst of me. You dare lay a finger on her and I swear I will kill you." His eyes murderous.
He helped Janasvi up from where she'd fallen when he'd shoved her. He walked out once again with Janasvi's wrist in his tight grip.
My Janasvi, she was too paranoid to pay much attention to that though she did like the sound of it no matter how much she denied it.
Back at the apartment, Janasvi was paranoid. Rikhil was sitting on the bed and she was bending over to nurse his bleeding nose.
"Why did you have to pick a fight with him?" Janasvi scolded.
"Because he misbehaved with you." Rikhil shot back.
"Well he ain't the first. There are many who've done the same. How many will you be able to shut up this way."
I appreciated that someone stood up for me but what I don't like is that in the process, Rikhil got hurt. People always get hurt trying to protect me.
He immediately stood up and pinned her against the wall with her hands above her head, intertwined in his against the wall.
"Until my last breath I will not bear any other man's presence in your life. I will do the same I did to Vivian to all those who try to even lay a finger on you."
"Why," I was astounded to hear that. "Why would you?"
"Because I love you, Damn it!" He said without realizing what had slipped his tongue.
His eyes searched her. Janasvi's eyes softened and lost all the anger and paranoia from within her. Their eyes locked and stayed that way for a while.
My hands were still intertwined with his, against the wall, above my head."You're mine and only mine." he whispered, before slowly releasing her hands and placing his palms flat against the wall, keeping her prisoner.
Their gazes still locked, he leaned forward, kissed her lips softly and waited for her to respond. A moment later, he moved his face away but Janasvi held his arms-biceps- just as he was about to move away. He looked at her in confusion. She I placed her right hand on his cheek pulling his face closer, letting their lips meet again. Within a minute, the kiss was oozing passion. Rikhil pulled back and whispered against her lips, "I love you."
