Chapter Eight. She Means World To Me

Rikhil was shocked by what he'd just heard. He couldn't imagine the amount of pain she'd been subjected to. So much to handle for one person alone... Sure is a lot. Despite all he valued most that today, Janasvi was still alive and well next to him, still fighting her battles head on.
When she'd mentioned her mother's words about her reasons to wish, Rikhil, secretly wished that maybe someday he could be one. As much as he loved her, he really wanted to help get her out of this mess.

Without wasting another second he picked up his phone and dialed his brother.

"Hey," Roy picked up.

"I need a favor,"

"At your service..."

"I have a friend who's brother is a software engineer and I wanna help her out.."

"Her? Secrets from your bro, huh?"

"Well, yeah, things are complicated but yeah I think she's the one."

"Oh, she seems special."
"She is. Now listen, I want you to offer Sameer a job in the company at a good post with a good salary."

"Got that but how do I find this Sameer guy?"

" I'll text you his details. There's one more thing I need you to do. Her sister Jiya is in the middle of a legal dispute with some guy, Lain. Lain is giving her trouble with the case. He's demanding money and papers to her parents' house because he knows that they won't be able to build a strong enough case against him without tarnishing their own reputation.
I want you to get him off her back. I don't care what you have to do, explain, threaten, bribe him if you have to but I want him far, far away from her family. If he doesn't listen tell him that we have proof of what all he's done and we can prove it in court if we have to."

"Whoa relax... This seems serious. Is she that special?"

"She more than special." He pulled Janasvi closer in a hug.
After a little chat they hung up. Rikhil looked at Janasvi, lost in thought. she must've been very tired... It's been a hectic day for her. She hadn't even had dinner.. Neither had he. But he didn't have the appetite.

It's been eight months since the day Janasvi and I met. it all seems so much like a miracle. First the street dance and then the flight and surprisingly we had seats right next to each other. And then to top it off, we ended up in the exact same place for the next two years in the whole of Canada.
I always knew that there was so much more to her than she actually let on and that's what intrigued me. it pulled me towards her... I wanted to find out more about her... I wanted to help her out... it seemed to me as if those cute hazel eyes were screaming to me for help.
I will help her. I'll do the best I can to keep her happy because she means the world to me... but then it's her decision at the end of the day. I can't force her, can I? If she doesn't share the same feelings then I won't hold it against her... if she wants to be with someone else... I won't ever stop her as long as it's her own independent decision. I love her enough to let her go. I know that she confessed her feelings as well and even shared her past but i don't know... I just get this feeling that this relationship is gonna face a lot of trouble...

Shaking off the ominous thoughts, He got up and carried her to the bed. He lay her down on the bed and sat beside her, caressing her hair.

I can only wonder how this angel ended up in such a mess. If it were in my hands, I'd carry her in my arms to a world of paradise unknown to all her pain.
I also wonder if she would mind if I share the bed with her... I mean we've confessed... maybe just not yet... I think she needs time to get over the memories from her past... I swear I'm ready to wait for an eternity if I have to but I will wait for her to accept me in her life.

He leaned over and grabbed his pillow from beside Janasvi, but then realized the closeness of their bodies. She shifted in her sleep and hugged his arm tight.
With every ounce of resistance in him he slowly slipped his arm out, placed a kiss on her forehead, walked over to the couch and lay there thinking about Janasvi until He dozed off to sleep.
