After their refreshing trip to New York, neither Jisha, nor Roy could keep away from each other. They'd meet up almost everyday. They'd hangout, go out for movies, dates, etc, literally everything a romantic couple would do. This was all new to Jisha, understanding her past, but she was loving this. Unfortunately, Jisha hadn't really told anyone at home about their relationship yet despite knowing, that Roy Singh is the co-CEO of Arianna softwares, the same company that Samarth worked in. She didn't know how to talk to her siblings about this and so was waiting for the right time. She didn't want to hurt Jiya either, by pressing on her wounds, so she decided to lay low for a while. Regardless, she'd still meet with Roy almost everyday and night. No one at home asked because they didn't expect her to be home, but on the days that she was told to stay home for family time, she'd sneak out after they'd fallen asleep.
Months passed this way and a special day arrived. One that Jisha had been planning for months. It was Roy's birthday today.Jisha had planned an evening surprise party at a well known restaurant and had invited his family and friends. This was the big night, today she was going to introduce him to her family as her boyfriend.
But before that, she had one small thing to do. She strode into the office building and made her way up to the executive floor where Roy's office was. She'd been here a couple of times before but not often since it was a risk of having Samarth catch her off guard. That was the last thing she wanted. She wanted it to be perfect, just like tonight would be.
Seeing that Roy's assistant, Shirlet, wasn't at her desk, she headed straight to his office.
She swung the door open as she held up the cake and with raised decibels, "surprise."
She turned crimson as soon as she'd realized that she was interrupting a meeting.
"I'm sorry I should go. I'll come back later" she said, seeing the dumbstruck employees. Roy sat at the edge of his desk, probably earlier conversing with his employees, now with an amused smirk on his face.
"Actually we were just finishing up here, right, gentle men. I suppose we could break for lunch for an hour now."
The employees nodded and left busy in their own conversations, well except for one of them. A slender, tall, skin and bones woman with apparently so much lipstick on her lips that it was smudging all over, eyed Jisha up and down as she headed, also not forgetting the mean glare she was shooting through her eyes. The officials closed the door on the way out as Jisha stood there, cherry red, staring at the floor.
Slowly looking up, she caught the amused smirk playing on Roy's lips. She blushed further and looked back down.
""You never fail to amuse me, Meow."
Jisha slowly walked over to the desk and placed the cake carton on the table, and then headed over to Roy before looping her arms around his neck and whispering into his ear, " Now, I wonder, whether that's a compliment or an insult." She slaps him on the shoulder playfully as she turns to the cake box.
"Ouch." Roy feigns hurt, holding onto his shoulder.
Jisha opens the cake box and starts cutting out a piece but stops as she feels Roy's arms circle her waist.
"You have no clue as to how much I have missed you." He places a kiss in her hair.
She turns her head and places a brief kiss to his lips as they hold onto each other in silence.
"Did you know? Chocolate solves everything and apparently I just happened to get you a chocolate mousse cake."
Roy couldn't help but chuckle at her attempt at humor at this.
"Happy birthday," Jisha picked up the piece she'd cut and fed it to him. He mumbled a thank you as he kissed her cheek. He took the other piece and fed it to Jisha, in the process smudging some frosting onto her cheek.
"You've got some there." He pointed out.
"Where?"
"Here." Roy pulled Jisha closer by her waist and leaned forward and seductively, licked it off her cheek.
Taken by surprise, Jisha stared into Roy's eyes, daring to break neither eye contact or the sensuous tension between them. Roy found himself in an alike situation.
They heard the door click open and someone mumble an I'm sorry before a few minutes of nothing followed by the click of the doors lock.
Roy leaned forward and softly but passionately kissed Jisha's lips. It always amazed him how he could never get enough of this woman in his arms. Of how he was ready to be shred to bits for her, all because he loved her. He couldn't imagine his life without her so he blocked the thought out of his mind just as quickly as it entered.
"You know, I don't like hiding this from bhai and them. I've made up my mind to tell them tonight. It's so weird he's just a few floors down and we're here but he has no clue as to what's happening here."
"Just remember, I'm with you no matter what. And I'd like to be there when you tell them about us." Roy pressed a kiss to Jisha's forehead.
"I'll make it happen somehow. I've to run now, but I'll see you at the restaurant tonight. I love you." She pecked Roy's lips before leaving.
As she stepped out of the elevators on the ground floor, her gaze met with Samarth's as he froze from his apparent pacing. She wasn't ready for this. She tried to keep on her toes.
"Jisha? What are you doing here?"
"I... Umm.. nothing... I came to see you but I could find you there so I came back down and here you are." She fumbled as she thought of an excuse.
"Oh and what did you want to see me for?"
"Oh.. Oh I came to tell you that we're going to a party tonight so be home early."
"Okay.. Yeah.. Sure.."
"I've got to go bro, bye." She waved as his eyes scrutinized her for a minute before smiling at her.
