"I'm actually impressed." Harry tells me, skating backwards, and looking back to make sure he doesn't run into anyone. "She taught you well but still not as skilled as me." Harry winks playfully and I roll my eyes in a smile before grabbing onto the side as I stop.
"My feet are killing me now." I frown, hiding the fact that I'm still wanting to use the side as help.
"We can leave now if you want, we've been here for an hour and a half." Harry says, looking at the watch he's wearing on his wrist. I love when he wears his watches, it's rare but he looks so sophisticated and I don't know why.
"If you still want to skate we can." I tell him with a small smile and he shakes his head, giving me his hand to grab.
"C'mon, I'm freezing my balls off." Harry bobs his head towards the exit and I grab his hand that has been stuffed in his pocket, keeping it extra warm. Once we step onto the black pad, my balance is perfectly fine to the point I can actually walk over to a bench.
"I still can't believe you actually took the fancy pair of skates and forced me to wear them." I scold him as I lean down to untie the laces of the white skates. Harry pushes my hands away and kneels down in front of me, untying them for me.
"No one saw." Harry tells me, loosening up the grip of the hold on my foot. "You may have blisters since these are pretty new." He tells me taking the right skate off my right foot. I feel my foot finally breathe and I let out a relaxed sigh I didn't know I was holding. Harry looks up at me, a piece of hair falling on his forehead as he starts untying the other laces. He smiles before getting up and leaning forward to give me a kiss. Butterflies roam my stomach and the electricity through my veins causes goosebumps to rise. He goes back to focusing on my skates and I lean forward a little to push his hair back.
"Thank you for tonight." I say softy, running my fingers through his hair as he pulls the other off and setting it down. I curl my toes a couple times and scoot over, letting Harry sit next to me. "I had fun." I say, running my hand across his back as he leans forward to take his off. I keep my arm wrapped across his back and run my left hand on his thigh. Harry quits what he's doing and sits up straight, turning his head and going in to kiss me once again.
"Stay with me tonight." Harry whispers, green eyes burning into mine. I go back to holding his body when he starts taking the other skate off and I sigh, wanting nothing more than to go home with him.
"I can't tonight, I work in the morning." I frown against his coat and his body moves along while he unties.
"Quit that job, it's stupid."
"Where am I supposed to work then?" I ask and he looks back over his shoulder at me with a smile before tearing the new skate off.
"Find a different one. One you'll actually enjoy going to." He tells me standing up straight in a turn to face me while he adjusts the front of us his jeans. "I can get you a job at my father's office."
"Oh so sitting at a desk all day is what I enjoy doing?" I ask in a laugh and he rolls his eyes.
"You wear cute shit so why not work in the fashion department?" Harry asks, picking up his leather boot and slipping it on. "You could like help with the magazine or something." He shrugs handing me my shoes and I scrunch my face at my boots, not wanting to put them on from how bad my feet hurt.
"As much as that sounds fun, I doubt a high top industry would want me working for them, especially since I don't have the experience."
"You'd probably be able to work from home." Harry informs me. That fact alone is enticing but I shake my head no.
"Thanks but no thanks." I say, wincing in pain as I stand up. I bite my lip and look at Harry who stares at me with concerned eyes. Without asking, Harry turns around and bends his knees, putting his arms back indicating that he can carry me. I smile and pick up my boots, getting on his back. Harry fakes a grunt as if I was the weight of an elephant and I roll my eyes, wrapping my arms around the front of him, boots still in hand.
When we make it to his car, the seats are colder than ever, causing me to shiver bad. I stay still, curled up on his seat, not wanting to grab ahold of my seatbelt as he lets his engine roar.
"It's... So.. Cold." My teeth chatter as I speak, reaching my arm out to one of the vents to point at me.
"I'm trying, Bec." Harry says, messing around the temperature levels. "It has to warm up." He reminds me and I finally reach behind me to put on my seatbelt. Harry backs out of the spot, leaning forward in the seat at the exit to make sure no one is coming the same time he puts his seatbelt on. He speeds off, sitting back into his seat and looks over at me before the road. His arm moves to the seats behind us, slowing down at the red light. His butt lifts off the seat to get a better reach for what he's rummaging for.
"I should have another jacket or something back here." Harry says and then bites his lip, leaning back more.
"It's okay. It'll be warm soon." I tell him, bringing his arm back with both of my hands.
Harry's hand sets itself on my thigh, running up and down while he starts driving off through the green light and getting on the freeway. He looks out of the side mirror, before over his shoulder, and easing into the gas pedal to get more speed.
"Harry." I speak, a little lower than usual and his hand holds the top of his steering wheel after he looks over at me. His eyebrows raise as in questioning and I smile before speaking. "Thank you again, for tonight."
"I've caused you a lot of pain Becca." Harry blurts out of a nowhere and I'm taken aback by it. "You deserve the best of everything." He adds, rubbing his thumb on my thigh. "I know it sounds cliche but it's true. I don't deserve you. Shit, I said such horrible things to you and continuously lead you on. You should be hating my guts, not here smiling next to me because I took you out on a date."
"Are... Are you regretting tonight? Are you like suddenly not in love with me?" I ask in worry and his head shoots over to look at me. He squeezes my thigh and shakes his head no, repeatedly.
"That's not what I'm saying at all. You know I love you and that's a lot coming from me. I'm just saying I'm really fucking lucky that you're even talking to me after the shit I put you through." Harry says, eyes glued to the road in front of us. I take my seatbelt off, scooting over to him and lay my right hand on his chest that's very warm. "I'm sorry I fucked with you so much." Harry says, looking over at me and then at the road. "I didn't know what was going on back when I met you." He adds and I shake my head.
"Shush." I say, giving him a kiss on his cheek. "I don't care. That's all over with." I whisper, still keeping my hand on his chest to calm him down. His chest rises and falls under my palm and I give a peck on his neck which causes him to shift in the seat.
"I suggest that if you want to live, you don't do that again." Harry clears his throat, swallowing hard. I smirk at myself for getting him so turned on by one little kiss and dare myself to do it again. My stomach twists in excitement, getting the reaction out of him like I wanted and I look at his left hand grip the wheel. I move to sit up on my knees, having his left arm lift while my hands go the seatbelt, unlocking it.
"What are you doing?" He chokes out with his eyes on me and the road. I stay quiet, undoing his belt buckle and taking the buttons of his pants in my fingers.
"Just thanking you." I say, looking up at him who stares into my eyes with hunger and a hard swallow.
