Chapter 30

Kyle's P.O.V

I was talking with Luke about our college and what our futures will be when I heard Darren's voice.

"No. He's going to harm her." What is he talking about? "Is Darren alright?" asked Luke. "Let's go see."

We saw Darren pacing in the kitchen and mumbling something. "Darren? Earth to Darren?" I snapped my fingers in his face.

"Huh? Oh hey Luke, Kyle." Darren sounded upset. "What's the problem, you sound upset." I told him. He just looked at us, but with a worried expression.

"Skyler. It's Skyler." My protective mode turned one when I heard my sister's name. "Why about her?" I guess Luke's protective mode turned on too.

"K-Kyle you know that guy that hurt Skyler and went to jail ?" Oh no. "Yeah." "I think he's back."

My hands turned to fists. "Darren! Darren!" the twins screamed for my brother. "Help us feed Koda?!" they asked.

"Ok." Darren smiled at them and left. "Who's this guy that Darren was talking about?" asked Luke. Right, he doesn't know.

"Well about a year ago when we lived in our old house and city, Skyler dated this guy. But one day when she came home, she had deep cuts, big bruises, blood, and she was crying. The guy that she dated had cheated on her and abused her. Of course dad took this to court and the guy was sent to jail." I said while my hands began fists.

"Fuck this guy! I'm going to kill him!" Luke was angry and so was I. "And what Darren just told us, he must be out of jail and coming after Skyler." I was starting to worry, but also angered.

Angry, cause that guy will try to hurt my sister again. Worried, cause I don't want my sister to be in danger.

"I'm back." Darren walked in. "I'm not done explaining. Today, in the school hallways, Skyler's ex, Jacob, was talking with someone on the phone about a plan to win Skyler back or something like that."

Fuck this guy. When I find him, I will kill him. "Should we tell Skyler?" I thought for a moment.

We will tell dad, of course he needs to know, but what about Skyler? She's happy know with Sebastian, but if we tell her now, she might get scared.

"No, let's tell dad later. We'll tell Skyler later. Right now we need to get Jacob and stop him." "I'm home!" Skyler.

"Hey!" We all said. "Hey guys. Darren let's work on our art project." "Right." Darren left with Skyler.

"Luke can you find this Jacob kid, later." "Yeah I just need his full name, age, and a description." "We'll ask Darren."

I will kill Jacob.

Darren's P.O.V

"Well I guess that's it." Skyler and I drew a Marylin Manroe that was half human, half skeleton.

"Dinner!" Dad called from downstairs. "We're coming!" we both yelled in unison. We walked down for dinner.

Of course during dinner we talked about school and work. I also mentioned our band, how were starting to get out there, and we might have a tour soon.

"Well I'm full thanks for dinner." Skyler went upstairs. "Zacky. Scotty. Go play with your toys." I said. They left the table and ran to the living room.

"Dad, we need to tell you something." "Well what is it?" dad asked. "It's about Skyler." Kyle said.

"Last year, Skyler's ex, Jacob. He's here." I said not trying to sound worried. Of course I'm worried for my sister, but we can't tell her, yet.

"What?" Dad's voice sounded angered. "He's trying to get Skyler back. I heard in he school hallways that he has a plan to win her back. Dad, how did he get out of jail? He needs to leave." I said.

"For now, don't tell Skyler, yet. He must've befriended you or her, but don't listen to anything he has to say. Watch over your sister and make sure he doesn't do anything. I'll talk with the police tomorrow."

I stood up and went to my room. I laid on my bed.

Damn you Jacob! Why?! Why are you trying to get Skyler back, let her be happy.

I fell asleep thinking about what will happen tomorrow.

I will keep my sister safe. I will protect her with my life. I love my sister and I'll do whatever it takes to know that she is safe.
