Chapter Twenty

HARRY'S POV

I sat on my bed and opened my new MacBook from mum. I opened Skype and saw that Skyler was on so I requested to Skype with her. "Hi Harry!" she said. "Hey! How are you?" I replied, smiling like an idiot. "Good! I wish I was there! But you know... Swim team..." "Oh yeah! When is that?" "Tomorrow... So did you have a good day today?" "Yeah, Brooke got a Jeep Liberty for my mum and she is getting a job also." "Wow! Brooke finally got her Jeep she always wanted!" "Yeah and I noticed a charm bracelet she was wearing this morning, no one gave it to her last night... It's weird." "Did you happen to see the charm on it?" "I think it was a flower or something green..." "Hmm I'll ask her later." "Ok thanks. I don't think I told you but I had a lot of fun at lunch before you left!" "Me too! Thanks for taking me!" "Anytime! We will definitely have to go again when you come back!" "Yeah! Hey, I have to go practice for tomorrow... Help me!" "Bye Skyker! We all miss you!" "Bye, miss you too!" Then the call ended. Did she miss me or everyone? I'm sure it was everyone! I had said everyone! Maybe she missed me more... Nah she probably misses Brooke the most...

I went into the living room and saw Brooke and Gemma playing with Molly. "Hey Harry!" Gemma said, noticing I entered the room. "Hi," I replied. "What were you doing?" "Why do you have to be so nosy?" "I was just wondering..." "Suuuree!" I got some juice and sat on the couch. "So you're getting a job?" I asked Brooke. "Yeah, I just sent my application today," she replied. "Where?" "TopShop." "Well I could have gotten you a job at the bakery here... But whatever girls like clothes more I guess." I said with a sigh. "Oh could you?" "Yeah, do you enjoy baking?" "I'm good at it..." "Do you want me to call Murphy or not?" I said bluntly. "Sure." "Ok, I'll call him later," I said, getting up and going downstairs to play FIFA.

BROOKE'S POV

"So what job are you going to take if they both want to hire you?" Gemma asked me. "I don't know, whichever one has better benefits I guess," I replied. "Good thinking sis!" I got up and sat on the couch, taking off my sweatshirt. "Is that bracelet new?" Gemma asked, grabbing my arm and admiring it. "Yeah, Niall gave it to me for my birthday!" "It's soooo pretty!" "Thanks!" "So are you dating?" "No! Why do you always think that! This is the second time you asked that!" "Wellll you "hung out" twice and he gave you a gorgeous charm bracelet with a 4 leaf clover!" "Yeah friends hang out and give each other presents on their birthday!" I said slowly and clearly. "But it's a four leaf clover charm." "Good job you can identify a clover!" "No! He obviously gave you the 4 leaf clover so you think of him when you see it!" "When I see the bracelet I think of him!" "So you do like him! Ha! You're easier to get information from than I thought!" "I don't like him like that gosh!" I said, turning my head so she wouldn't see me blushing. "Liar!" "Goodbye!" I said, going to me room with Molly. "Brooke! Come back!" Gemma said, following me.

I jumped backwards onto my bed and laid down. Gemma leaned her shoulder on the door way, "Brooke, it's okay to like someone! It's human nature!" "I know that! I'm not 3!" "Just tell me if you like him or not!" "Why do you care?" "Because I'm your sister and I like knowing this stuff!" "Fine... A little but I doubt he likes me." "Ahh I knew it! And he so likes you, he was practically staring at you on your birthday!" "No he wasn't, don't be ridiculous!" "I'm not! He seriously likes you, it's obvious!" "Shut up Gemma! He does not like me like that! We are just friends." "You're just in deNIALL!" "Really? We're playing that game?" She smirked a little and walked out of my room.

I opened my messages on my phone and noticed the last person I texted was Niall. So all his messages were still up, not event inbox... It was Niall. I read the last text he sent, "I'm glad you like it. Xx Niall." I smiled (probably like an idiot) and then my phone started ringing. A picture of Skyler squished against a glass for came up with the option to accept or decline her call. I answered it of course, "Hello?" "Hi! Miss me yet?" She replied. "How could I not?! I have no one to talk to, except Gemma, but she has been bugging me about Niall today. So she's getting on my nerves." "Speaking of Niall, did he get you anything for your birthday? Or did he really return it?" I looked down at my wrist and admired my four leaf clover charm and smiled, "Yeah, he got me a charm bracelet with a four leaf clover charm." "Do you think of him every time you look at it?" "Yeah." "Ohhh someone's got a crush!" "Would you stop! You sound just like Gemma!" "Sorry, but its obvious! You totally like him! Plus he kissed you so he obviously likes you too! You just need to tell him!" "He said the kiss was an accident!" "How do you accidentally kiss someone?" "Get caught up in the moment?" "Well if there is a moment then there has to be feelings..." "Ugh..." "You know I'm right... So you know it's right to tell him how you feel!" "Maybe... I'll just invite him out and tell him." "No! You have to play hard to get!" "But a minute ago you wanted me to tell him. Now I'm supposed to play hard to get?!" I never really dated in high school, I didn't really care that much about having a boyfriend and all that. I basically focused on school a lot, call me a nerd, but I wanted to get into a good school. "You know what, just follow your heart!" "Way to be cliché Skyler! I got to go now, call you later tonight after my outing with Mr. Horan?" "Alright! Good luck!" Skyler said, then hung up.

I sighed and dialed Niall's number. "Hello?" An Irish voice answered. "Hey Niall." "Hey, what's up?" "Well, I was wondering if you wanted to go out to dinner with me tonight around 7?" "I'd love to!" "Great! I guess I'll pick you up at 7! Oh and thank you so much for the charm bracelet! I love it so much!" "Haha you're welcome! See you tonight!" "Ok, bye." I said hanging up. Well I hope tonight won't be awkward!
