BROOKE'S POV

"I'll be back soon," I said, giving Niall a quick kiss then walking to the elevator. I got a taxi, I'm going to be so happy when I can drive in a normal car and not in a taxi.

I arrived at Skyler's hotel and went upstairs in the elevator.

I knocked on the door and a puffy eyed Skyler answered the door and immediately enveloped me in a hug.

We stood in the doorway for about a minute as Skyler drenched my shoulder.

"Sorry about your shirt," Skyler said, noticing my shoulder.

"Don't worry about it," I replied.

We went inside and sat on the couch, "How was your swimming stuff?" I asked.

"Horrible, I wanted to stay home but of course I couldn't," Skyler replied, wiping her eyes with a tissue.

"Yeah, I'm sorry," I said in a concerned tone.

"You have nothing to be sorry for, things happen for a reason and Harry and I obviously weren't meant to be together," she replied.

"Yeah," I didn't know what to say, I never knew anyone who had their heart broken.

"So yeah, but tomorrow in going to New York and I'm going to concentrate on swimming," she said, changing the subject.

"Are you positive you don't want to come to London? I'm sure we could find you a hotel and get the nicest suite!" I suggested one final time.

"No, I need some space from him, so I think this is best for me right now," she replied.

"Ok, just text, call, Or Skype me everyday! Got it?" I said.

"Don't worry I won't forget," she promised.

"Oh, so you know that party a couple weekends ago?" I said, changing the subject again.

"Yeah?" she said suspiciously.

"Well I met a girl there, named Casey, and I think you guys would be best friends!" I continued.

"What makes you think we would be best friends?" she asked.

"Well, she competitively swims and that's all you really have in common, but she likes to travel to France. Because she can speak French and I think she's fluent (hehe)," I explained.

"That's cool. When I go to London, I'll have to meet her!" Skyler replied.

"Yeah!" I said.

The rest of the day we just talked and talked, watched a movie, ate and talked. I don't remember the last time Skyler and I got time to just hang out like this. It was nice.

"Sorry I have to go, but our plane leaves at 9 in the morning so... You know how Niall tends to sleep in," I said, walking to the door.

"Yeah, well tell Niall I say hi," she replied, walking with me to the door.

"Ok I will," I said, giving Skyler one last hug.

"I'll miss you," she said shakily.

"I'll miss you too," I replied, giving her a comforting smile. Then I walked to the elevator and descended to the ground floor.

I got out and into another taxi, ew, and went back to my hotel.

"Niall?" I asked as I shut the door.

"Huh?" he said from the bedroom.

I walked back there, "What are you doing?"

"Nothing," he said closing my MacBook.
