We sat down on the bench on the back porch. "What's wrong Brooke?" Harry asked me. "Well you know how we had gotten into a fight about Niall..." I started. "Yeah..." "Well we're hanging out tonight again," I looked at Harry, his fist clenched by his side but then he took a deep breath. "Oh, alright, well what are you doing?" he said as calmly as he could. "We are just going to a movie and that's all." "What movie?" "I don't know yet..." "What time?" "8" "Well I don't care if you hang out with Niall, so have fun," Harry forced himself to say and faked a smile. We got up and all of a sudden he enveloped me in a hug. "Thanks Harry," I said, hugging him. "Any time little sis!" Harry said, walking back inside. "Um, yeah, I was born before you!" I replied. "Well I'm cooler!" "No way are you cooler than me!" "Its true... She is the coolest person at our school!" Skyler said. "Well me AND Skyler!" I added. "Duh!" Skyler said.
Skyler and I went to my room and Skyler wasted no time, "Did you talk about Niall?" "Yeah, he said he's cool with it, but it didn't seem like he was..." I replied. "Just don't worry about it and have fun!"
LATER THAT NIGHT
*DING DONG* I walked over to the door to find Niall there holding a rose. "For you miss," he said politely, handing me the rose. I smiled sweetly and accepted it, "Thanks Niall!" "Hey Niall!" Harry said, ruining the moment. "Hey Haz..." obviously Harry forgot that he never made up with Niall. I sat my rose down on the table and Niall led me to his Range Rover.
We pulled up to a small cinema. Niall jogged around the car and opened my door for me. He held out his hand to help me down. We got our tickets and bought a ton of candy. They weren't showing new movies so we saw 'The Notebook.' I should have brought tissues...
The movie started and we shared some boxes of candy. At about half way through the movie I got sorta tired so, not thinking, I rested my head on Niall's shoulder. He put his arm around me and I swear I could have fallen asleep right then and there if it wasn't for my phone vibrating in my pocket. I slightly pulled it out to see it was just a text. I put it back in my pocket and put my head back in Niall's shoulder. "Everything alright?" Niall asked me. "Yeah, I'm really enjoying the movie!" "Me too."
By the end of the movie I was a mess, from crying, and Niall wasn't much better. We walked to his car and he opened the door for me. He drive me back home knowing Harry would have a fit if he didn't. Niall walked me to the door. I was about to unlock it but Niall grabbed my hand and I dropped the keys. His blue eyes stared into mine, "I had a really fun time tonight with you." "Me too, thank you for taking me, I'd love to go again sometime." I barely had time to think about what I said when I saw Niall glance quickly at my lips. I bit my tongue in order not to smile. Niall came closer so that our lips were almost touching. He finally closed the space and kissed me! But quickly pulled away when he noticed he had kissed me. I smiled as I picked up my keys. "Good night Niall!" I smiled as I went inside.
NIALL'S POV
I leaned in and kissed Brooke! Finally! Ever since the day I met her I was attracted to her. But I don't want to rush into anything so I pulled away. She just grabbed her keys and told me good night. I stood there for a second, what if she only likes me as a friend? What if the kiss made her feel awkward? What if I threw away any non awkward friendship we had? I shook all the questions out of my head and walked back to my car.
I drove to the little cabin Harry's family rents out that we are staying at for his birthday. I walked inside and Liam was sitting on the couch watching TV. "There you are! How was the movie?" he said, turning the TV off. "Good..." I started, "I kissed Brooke..." I whispered. "You did what!?"
