"BEEP BEEP BEEP!" I groaned as my alarm went off signaling it was time to wake up. I turned it off and noticed Molly was still laying on me, I smiled at her but moved her gently so I could get out of bed. I took my braids out and my hair was curled just the way I wanted it to be! I put on some jeans and long sleeves shirt and a hoodie over it, I slipped on my knitted UGGs and went to the kitchen for breakfast. Mum made eggs and toast. After breakfast I brushed my teeth and met mum at her car. "So where are we going?" I asked her. "You'll just have to wait and see!" she replied. We drove for about 10 minutes before pulling into a car lot. "What?!" I said shocked. Was she actually buying me a car?! "Yeah! I bought Harry and Gemma both cars for their birthdays so I need to get you one also!" she said with a huge smile on her face. "Oh my gosh thank you so much!" I said. We went inside and talked to a guy about getting a car. He told us to go look around and pick one out. I looked at all the cars and I picked out a Jeep Liberty. I drove it back home following mum. "We can get you a license for in the UK later this afternoon alright? The test is the same material as in America and you don't have to take a driving test if you had a license in a different country. You just have to take the written test!" she said as we walked in. I was greeted by Molly jumping up on me. "Sooo what did you get?!" Gemma asked. "A Jeep Liberty!" I said sitting next to her. "Nice pick!" "Thanks! Wanna hang out today?" "Sorry, I wish I could, but I have to go work..." "Oh." "You should get a job!" "Where?" "I think TopShop is hiring, I work at Jack Willis, I can see if they can get you a job if you want." "Okay, I'll apply at TopShop and you don't have to go out of your way for me." "Oh it's no big deal!" "Well I'll just apply at TopShop and if I don't get it than you can, ok?" "Yeah that works!"

I went to my room and got Molly's leash and put it on her collar. "I'm taking Molly for a walk be back in a while!" I said to Gemma as I walked out the door. "Ok!" Gemma replied. "Where do you want to go Molly?" I asked in my 'look at the cute baby animal' voice. Molly looked at and tilted her head which I awwed at. We walked to a small park which nobody was at so I let Molly off her leash and she ran around. I would run after her and throw a stick for her. After a while I decided to go back home, so I put Molly back on her leash and headed home. "Miss!" I heard someone call out from behind me. I turned to see a guy about my age running after me with my scarf. I had gotten hot when I was running with Molly so I took off my scarf, I guess I forgot to put it back on. "Oh my gosh! Thank you!" I said taking my scarf. "Sure... Do you want to go get some hot chocolate or something really quick?" he asked me. "I'd love to! But I have my dog and I can't leave her outside," I replied, putting my scarf on. "I know a place that has outdoor seating! C'mon just one cup?" he insisted. "Oh alright I guess one cup can't hurt.

We made our way to a cute little shop and sure enough they had outdoor seating with some sort of outdoor heating. "Hot chocolate?" he asked. I nodded and he went inside and came back with two hot chocolates. "Wow, I haven't had a hot chocolate in ages! And this is better than my mom's!" I said taking a sip. "I swear this place has the best hot chocolate!" he agreed, "So where are you from?" "New York, New York. Are you from Holmes Chapel?" "Yeah, my family has a small farm on the outskirts of town." "Cool! Do you have any siblings?" "A sister but she moved to London and I have a younger brother only by a year." We went on talking like that for 30 minutes, then I noticed I had been gone for and hour and I still needed to get my license! "I've got to go, I told my family I wouldn't be gone very long, but thank you for the hot chocolate!" I said. "Anytime! Hey! Can I get your number?" he replied. I nodded and told it to him as he punched it into his phone. I waves good bye and headed home.

As I stepped in the door I got a text from an unknown number: Hey! I never got your name! Mine is Sam :) I replied: 'It's Brooke! And thanks again for the hot chocolate and the chat I had a great time!' "Hey!" I said, sitting on the couch next to Gemma. "How was your walk?" she asked me, looking through the channels. "Good, I met someone..." "Who?" "His name is Sam, I had forgotten my scarf and he gave it to me then invited me for some hot chocolate!" "Sounds like a date to me!" "It wasn't and I wouldn't just go out with someone after they gave me my scarf, I would have to get to know them first!" "What about Niall?" "What do you mean what about Niall?" "You went out with him on like the first day you met!" "No I didn't! We were getting to know each other better!" "Mhmm..." "Brooke! You're back! Ready to get your license?" Mum said, walking in the room. "Yeah!" I said, getting up.

After I passed the written test (super easy) we went out to lunch just the two of us. I was really excited to spend one on one time with my birth mother! We went to a small cafe, I think the one Harry took me to for breakfast, and sat in a booth in the back. "So are you enjoying the UK?" she asked me. "Oh my gosh I love it! You have no idea!" I replied. "Well that's good! Gemma told me you are going to apply for a job at TopShop. It's that true?" "Yeah, I figured that I'm gonna need some money so I can get my own place here." "I think Gemma was looking at flats, you should see if you could move in with her." "Oh she is? She never said anything." "Yeah, she lives with us still but she works a lot do she has more money to move out." "Oh..." We continued talking, mainly about my life growing up and stuff like that. Then we went home.

Harry was sitting on the couch, watching TV and Gemma was playing with Molly on the floor. I sat down with Gemma and joined in. "Hi Molly! I missed you!" I said to Molly." "Did you get your license?" Gemma asked me. "Yeah, I only had to take the written test since I had my license in America." I replied, playing tug-of-war with Molly. "Oh that's good!" "Yeah! So mum said you were looking for a flat to move into?" "Yeah, I'd like to have my own place but they are pretty expensive for what I would like." "Oh..." "You probably don't want to, but after you get a job and stuff do you want to get a flat with me?" "Yeah! I'd love to!" "Really? Well then you need to get a job!" "I know, I'll go apply now," I said, going to my room and applying for the manager's position at TopShop. In New York I was the manager of a small boutique so I had some experience!
