Chapter Twenty Seven

HARRY'S POV

"Skyler?!" I said, getting up off the couch. "Surprise!" She said. I walked over to her and gave her a big hug, "What are you doing here?" "I'm taking a break from swimming for a little bit, so I came back here!" "Wait, does Brooke know you're here?" "No, I got here before her interview was done, I basically flew all last night." "Does my mum know you're here?" "Yeah, I actually talked to her about coming!" "Well I'm so happy you're here!" "Me too!"

We walked into the kitchen where mum was putting toppings on the pizza. "Smells good Mrs. Cox!" Skyler said, sitting next to me at the breakfast bar. "Thank you Skyler! And you can call me Anne," mum replied. Skyler nodded and smiled, "So where's Brooke?" "I think she's in her room," I replied.

BROOKE'S POV

I was sitting at the desk in my room checking Facebook with Molly on my lap. I was scrolling through my news feed, a lot had happened back in New York! Suddenly a chat came up from Lindsey. Ugh Lindsey was so mean to me in high school. I don't even know what I did! I would just mind my own business and she would come up with some excuse to make me feel like crap. She's mainly why I didn't date much. Once I dated a 'nobody' according to her and she somehow convinced him to cheat on me with her. But I didn't react to her since she would be getting what she wants, even though it absolutely killed me on the inside. Anyways, she had chatted me 'Heyy! I heard you have a famous brother! Is this true?' I don't even know what to do, I'm sure she is trying to get me to say something stupid. I just typed back 'Yeah I guess you could call him that..." I waited a second or two and read 'That's cool! We should catch up! We haven't talked in a long time!! Skype sometime?' No thank you... Plus she doesn't even have my Skype. Someone must be desperate for friends... All her friends ditched her second semester of senior year because she stopped talking and hanging out with them for some guy. I rolled my eyes at her last message, 'Yeah, gtg bye.' And signed out of Facebook.

I looked down at Molly, "What is wrong with Lindsey?" Molly looked at me with confused eyes. "I don't know either." Suddenly my door slammed shut and before I had time to look someone put a gag in my mouth. I tried screaming but it was useless. "Be quiet and you won't die," the person said in my ear. Molly thought it was some sort of game and was jumped down and was playing with my shoe. Just before I was going to kick them, Skyler jumped in front of me. "Skyker?" I said, taking the gag from my mouth, which turned out to be a hand towel. "Surprise!" She said with a huge grin on her face. "You scared the hell out of me!" I said, slapping her arm. "Sorry, but it was hilarious!" She laughed. "No it wasn't! I thought I was going to die!" "Not if stopped screaming!" I looked at her not amused and she just cracked up even more. "Are you done?" I asked her. "Yeah, sorry," she said still giggling.

"Well... Guess who wants to Skype soon," I said changing the subject. "Who?" Skyler said, finally not laughing. "Our good old friend Lindsey!" I replied with fake enthusiasm. "Why?" "She said we haven't talked in a long time and we should catch up." "She's so weird. Ever since her friends ditched her she kept trying to get me to hang out with her. Actually right before I left to come here she wanted to practice swimming with me for a swim team... Last I knew she hated swimming." "She needs to get some help or something." "Yeah..."

We went out to the kitchen/living room area. "Mum did you know Skyler was coming?" I asked as I walked in the kitchen. "Yes," she said casually, working on making some food. "Why didn't you tell me?" "Skyler didn't want me to." I looked at Skyler, giving her the 'really' look. She shrugged and whispered "Sorry." I just glared at her and she smiled.

I plopped down on the couch and Skyler ruined my relaxation by saying, "Lets go work out!" "What?" "What have you done since you we're here?" "Got a job, realized my long lost twin is Harry Styles oh yeah and I almost forgot I'm dating Niall Horan... Kind of a lot to take in in one week if you ask me!" "Well I need to work out buddy so you're coming." "Take Harry." "No he's not a girl." "So... you can feel his muscles," I said, winking at her. "I don't like Harry like that, that would be weird dating your brother..." "That's what I said about Niall... Now look at me," I said with a huge smile. "Yeah yeah you're soooo cute c'mon let's go." I reluctantly got up and went to my room to change into athletic clothes. I slipped sweatpants on over my shorts and put on a hoodie. I went to the kitchen and filled 2 water bottles with water.

Just as I was finishing filling the bottles with water, Skyler walked in. "Ready?" She asked me. "As ready as I'll ever be to go to the gym..." I said.

We walked outside and got in my car. I drove to the local gym and parked. We got our water and went inside. We went to the locker room and put my sweats in a locker and locked it. Just as we were going to walk out I got a text. I looked at the name and read 'Niallthesexyleprechaun<3: Hey babe, do you wanna see a film tonight? ;) Xx Niall' I smiled at his text.

To Niall: sure! What time?

From Niall: I'll be there around 7 Xx Niall

To Niall: alrighty! See you then :)

"What's making you smile? Or should I say who..." Skyler said as we walked to the work out area. "Just Niall," I said, still smiling. "What did he want?" "We're going to a movie tonight," I said sitting down on some machine that works my legs. I set it to 90 lbs and started doing 20 reps. "Oh la la. Nothing more than the movie alright! Keep your eyes on the screen and don't fall for the 'yawn and put the arm around you' trick, you hear?" She said standing there watching me work out. I stopped reps, looked at her, "Ok mom." Then began again. Ugh. This is so hard! "I mean it!" She said putting her hands on her hips. "Go do... Something..." I said in between reps. I was on my second set of 20 and my legs BURNED!

Skyler came back a minute later. I raised an eyebrow at her, "What did you do?" "Shoulder press," she said normally. "If you wanted me to come to the gym with you, why aren't you doing anything?" "I'm lazy and you know that. Plus my swim coach said I should work out often since I'm taking a break from swim team..." "Wait, you're taking a break from swim team? Why haven't you told me about this?" "It just hasn't come up... Well until now..." "Well shouldn't you actually work out instead if just going to the gym?" "She said I had to go to a gym she never said I had to work out, plus what she doesn't know won't hurt her." "You will find a way out of everything won't you?" "Yup!" Skyler said, popping the 'p.'

I finished working out while Skyler stood and talked to me. "Alright... After a hard workout you always need smoothies!" Skyler said, getting into the passenger side of my car. "I would agree if it wasn't freezing out..." I said starting my car and driving home. "Aw come on Brooke!" "No, I have to go home and get ready for my date!" "Oh yeah... Cars here are so weird, normally I would be driving since I'm sitting on this side..." Skyler was so random sometimes, but I loved her for that. "Good job..." After 5 minutes of random comments from Skyler we made it home. I rushed inside and got ready. I took a quick shower and put my hair in a sock bun. I put on some light make up, jeans and a coral long sleeve shirt with a mint scarf. It wasn't snowing out so I decided to wear white Converse. I grabbed my purse and checked the time, 6:57. Niall would be here any second...

DING DONG! I went to the front door and invited a handsome Niall in, "Hey!" "Hello, you look lovely as ever," he said making me blush. "Well you look like a million bucks!" I returned the complement. Niall was wearing a black long sleeve shirt with a white jacket and beige chinos. Skyler came out to say hi to Niall. "Skyler?!" He said shocked. "Yeah! I came back as a surprise!" She said, giving Niall a hug. I cleared my throat, "Skyler, I know he's handsome, but he's mine," I said making Skyler blush and embarrassed. We took any chance we got to embarrass each other. Harry walked in, "Hey Niall." Niall waved to Harry and smiled his gorgeous smile. I couldn't help but smirk a little when he smiles. "Where are you guys going tonight?" Harry asked, sitting on the couch. "A movie," Niall replied. "Fun, fun... Don't pull anything Niall," Harry said in a half joking half serious tone. "Ok..." Wow Harry way to make me and Niall feel awkward...

I put my coat on and Niall slipped his hand into mine. We walked out the door and to his car. He opened the door for me and I got in. I half jogged half walked over to the driver's side and started the car and off we went to the movie.
