"And that's how we met!" Aphmau finished the story as Travis started laughing.
"I don't remember it like this!" Laurance yelled, his face burning red, trying to save the last bit of his pride that was left standing.
"But it was!" Aphmau answered holding in her laughter. "Really, when we met you were like: I'm sorry, but it's so rare to see a maiden as beautiful as you! And I was like: WOW! SLOW DOWN CASANOVA!"
As the two boys jumped at each other's throats, Aphmau decided to leave to look at the ocean. It was a beautiful afternoon and the sun was already setting, making the ocean reflect pink and orange splashes of color. And then, there, sitting on the ledge of the ship was a black haired girl that they decided to take along for this trip. She was a new citizen of Phoenix Drop, that had moved in when they were all stuck in Irene's dimension. She hadn't really talked to her, just a few sentences maybe. As she opened her mouth to greet her, the girl jumped over the board of the ship, directly into the cold water below their feet.
"WHAT IN THE WORLD ARE YOU DOING?" she yelled after her. As she looked around to see what could've caused her actions, she noticed a black cloud in the distance, covering the horizon and eating the ocean. She turned around panicked, trying to get the boy's attention. Trying to figure out if a storm was coming, she started telling the others how to direct the boat.
"Where is Lexy?" She suddenly heard Laurance ask. It took her some seconds to realize who he was talking about. The powerfull wind that appeared a while after she noticed the cloud was blocking the words that were coming out of her mouth, making it impossible for anyone to understand what the girl was trying to explain. Whit a fast gesture, she pointed to the small figure in the water, wandering further and further from the boat and closer to menacing storm.
"What the hell is she doing there?" she saw Laurance mouth before jumping in the water.
Laurance could feel the cold water piercing his skin, freezing him inside. He started looking around, searching for the small dot of black hair somewhere further away from him.
"Lexy!" he tried calling for her but the wind didn't let the sound go to far away. As he started swimming aimlessly, he noticed the girl's body being lifted in the air by an invisible force, pulling her into the black mist.
With a white flash, the girl dissapeared, leaving Laurance staring at the black sky, before a flow of images flashed before his eyes. A woman was standing above Lexy's body, doing something to her head, before turning around and making eye contact with him. Before getting the chance to turn his head, the woman spoke.
"Look Laurance, you and your friends got yourself in a really big mess by letting this girl join your group."
"What in the world are you talking about? She is merely 17."
With a gesture of her hand, the scenery around them changed, slowly forming into a black forest. A bunch of shadowy figures were present there, fighting with people that looked odly familiar too Laurance. After a closer look, he noticed that those were none other than he and his friends, heavily injured and nearly dead. In the middle of this battlefield was a white sphere, where two figures were fighting, their faces being hidden by the white light surrounding them. Screams were filling the air and a powerfull smell of death was filling up his nostrils, making his eyes water.
"What is this?"
"You'll go through lots of pain and suffering. But it's not too late. Get rid of her. Kill her." the female told him, ignoring his question.
The boy looks at her in awe. Her orange hair flowing in the wind, her green eyes piercing his body, she suddenly clapped her hands twice and the floor beneath their feet dissapeared, leaving them falling in the void. At the contact with the ocean, Laurance's body snapped, leaving him unconscious in the water, only supported at the surface by the immense quantity of salt that was present in the water.
