Chapter 17: On deathbed

Decibelle's POV

I get up from Cal and rush over to Beth's tent. My legs hurt from all the sharp rocks but I need to learn how to bear this pain. I enter the tent where Mei, Beth and Tony are taking care of Lex. She doesn't looks to well. 

"Should I transform?" I ask

"No. It's going to hurt you AND her.Plus, you still don't know how to control it." responds Tony.

"If I don't transform from time to time I will never learn to control it." I mumble to myself.

"If you want to be of use, concentrate your healing power on Lex" tells me Beth as she reaches for a bottle on the top shelf.

I do as she says, but as I start to do it, a huge wave of darkness comes out of her body and I get thrown on the floor.

"Decibelle! Are you ok?" Tony asks me. My body is shaking and I can't move.

"Guys... Something is really wrong with Lex."

Mei's POV

"Mei?!" she yells in surprise. Of course. I had her and my brothers think that I was dead for the past 10 years. I can't say I changed much from then even though I am 16. I was one of the only students that entered so late in the academy. Normally, they don't accept kids bigger than 2 years old because they start to remember their family. I jump down of the tree.

"Hello Katelyn." I say with an even voice as I draw out my swords. "I am sorry but if you came for Laurance or Lexy you are going to be a little bit disappointed. You see, they are not really available."

"Wait... You were the girl that was with Laurance? What did you do to him? Why did he hurt Aaron?"

"Kate, you need to chose. Us or them. You can't be with both and until you are not with us, I can't give you any information. I know we are sisters but we choose two different paths. And the one I chose is very dangerous and has no way of return."

She looks at me with tears in the eyes. The wind that starts to get more and more stronger and and somehow manages to take down one of my buns. I reattach it with quick moves only to find myself with a blade at my neck. I should of known better.

"Take me to your camp." 

I obey. But as we start walking, a wall of dense darkness hits us, and we both fall. It takes me one second to realize what's going on. My eyes widen as I yell"LEX!" I get up and start running as fast as I can, Katelyn following me closely, not letting me go. I follow the dirt path made by all the people that passed here before. Sprigs hit my face as my goal is to get there as fast as I can, not as unharmed as I can. I can hear Katelyn's heavy breath in my back. I guess it isn't really easy to run with  an armor as heavy as hers. I hear a loud thud and I turn around to help her get up, but her armor was cought in a branch. I try to help her but it just doesn't want to go. In frustration I rip it off, leaving Katelyn in a transparent shirt and some leggings. She looks at me with wide eyes probably questioning how I did it. But now isn't the time for that. I take her hand and continue running. When we arrive at the camp, I'm already full of bruises. We enter one of the tents, only to find Lexy  chained to her bed, her skin turned gray and her irises disappeared.

"I leave you alone for 10 minutes and this is what happens?" They all jump when they hear my voice. I go next to Lexy and start concentrating my power on her to slow down the transformation. "What are you waiting for? Decibelle, go take your diamond powder, Tony bring Cal and Laurance here, Beth you know what you need to do." Out of the corner of my eye I see Katelyn sneaking out. I grab her by her shoulder and make her stay by my side. "I kinda need your help here Kate."

New chapter! I am sorry that most of the last chapters were about Lexy but don't worry somthing big is going to happen to the MCD characters soon....
