Mei's POV
I run as fast as I can, trying to keep up with Laurance, who is way faster than me.
"Laurance! Wait up!" I try to run faster but I end up falling right on him. I get up as fast as I can and help him pick up Lex. "Please run slower. You don't even know where the hideout is!" I grab him by his hand and turn right in the forest. He follows. I start to hear footsteps behind me.
"Listen to me! Run straight forward you should find it after half an hour of walking. Tony will be waiting for you so you shouldn't be attacked by any of my friends."
"But..."
"Laurance, someone is following us. Do you really want to take the risk?"
He shakes his head and continues to run. I follow his lead but in the opposite direction. I jump on the closest tree as a girl with blue hair comes in my sight.
"I know you are here so stop hiding!" she yells. "Of course. I wouldn't expect anythig less from you... Sis."
"Mei?!"
Laurance's POV
As Mei said, after some time I found a little camp with 5 tents. Tony was waiting at the border of it. When he saw Lexy, his eyes widened and he started running towards me. I fall on my knees and pass her to him.
"Please... Help her..." he looks like he knows exactly what he needs to do. I trust him.
"Beth! Cal! Help me with Lex! Decibelle, take care of Laurance!"
Three people come rushing. Two of them help Tony with Lexy and a girl with pink hair comes and helps me get up.
"I told him to be carefull but NO! He always needs to do it his way, through fight! Couldn't he just let Mei go, talk to her and come back here as the PLAN SAID!?" she says "Anyway, my name is Decibelle and I am here to take care of you! As she says this she puts a smirk on. Looks like you've got pretty beaten up."
She starts walking and I follow her closely. She is kinda cute, as I find out later. Her hair reaches to her ankles so there are portions of the path where her hair is just sweeping the floor, but she doesn't seem to mind. From time to time, she would turn around to see if I am still following her so I could see her intense green eyes. She is wearing a short blue dress and she walks barefoot. Also, she has a... tattoo I guess? on her shoulder and one above her right eyebrow. We reach the blue tent and we enter.
"Sit." I do as she says. It's not that I want to, but my body won't listen to me.
She starts running in the tent as if she is dancing and I watch her confused. She sees me and she starts giggling. After she gathered all sorts of bottles and bandages she comes next to me and sits next to me. Really close. I try to move over a little bit but I don't have where. She starts to take care of my wounds. I start to feel really uncomfortable.
"Would you mind if you moved a little bit?" I ask.
"Why? You have a girlfriend?"
What? Oh, no...
"..."
"I know you don't."
"..." What should I do?
Suddenly, a guy enters the tent.
"Stop playing with the poor guy Belle"
"Oh come on! You are sooooo mean! I am not doing anything. I am only taking care of his wounds. Am I right Laurance?"
"Ah..."
"Go to the other tent, I will take care of him."
"...FINE!"
She kisses me on the cheek and then as she starts walking she jumps on the boy.
"Belle!"
"Hihihi!"
She kisses him to than runs out of the tent.
"I am sorry about her. She is... Really... how can I put this... She really likes to be close to people."
"She is your friend? I mean Lexy... Lexandra."
"Yeah... She was the one who kept us together. She was an amazing girl."
"Was? I mean, she still is amazing..."
"Laurance, the girl you meet, isn't the true Lexandra."
"What do you mean? She-"
"No. She isn't herself since 5 years ago. Her personality, her soul, her life itself was shattered by the darkness. That's why we took her here. That's why she can't control her powers, not even 1% of it. She is not the Lex we love and we admire. Compared of how she actually is, the Lexy you see is only an empty shell."
