Chapter 19: The explenation

Lexy's P.O.V.

I float in darkness. An overwhelming darkness that doesn't let me move. I see. So I am unconscious again. I don't know how my body works. I mean, I can't move or open my eyes but I know that I passed out. Or worst. I was always the most frail of the academy. I would pass out at least tree times a week and always having these weird dreams about a girl and a boy with black hair. They both had overwhelming powers and were fighting creature of the Darkness. Around them were other people, also very powerful, though I never got a glimpse of their features. I feel like I know them from somewhere but I can't quite place it. Look at how pathetic you are Lexandra. Your friends are fighting somewhere up there, and you waste your time sleeping. And then you wonder why everyone hates you. I try to open my eyes, but it looks like the more I try, the more I get pulled into the darkness. Wake up you stupid girl. Do you really want to sleep again while your friend are dying? You are so useless. The teachers always praised you for your power but if every time you try to use it, you pass out, than what's the point. IN THE NAME OF IRENE WAKE UP! 

I force my eyes open and jump up from the place I was lying. I quickly analyse the place and the possibilities of attack, when I realize that I am no longer in the battlefield. And than it all comes back: the Darkness coming out of my body, me entering in a coma, Mei screaming at Katelyn to run away with me, one of the soldiers shooting at me than, me taking it out and then passing out again.

"Lexy!" I hear someone screaming my name. I turn around to see a very injured Katelyn jumping at my neck, making me fall. "Thank Irene you are O.K.! We were all so worried, you've been in a coma for one week and..."

"Kate, I know, but don't worry, I'm fine. Now, please tell me where is everyone. I need to go and help them."

"There is no way we are letting you go fight in the state you are!" Aphmau intervenes. "Have you looked at your body? It's nearly destroyed! I can't even understand how you managed to get up!"

"Aphmau, you don't understand! They can't can't transform if I'm not there! And they don't stand a chance if they don't transform!" I take a deep breath. "Our group is all half something, half human. Well, all except me." I add in a disgusted, low voice. "You don't know them but... Beth is half demon, Calb is half demon like her as they are related, Mei is half dragon, Tony is half beast and Decibelle is... well, we don't really know what she is but she is really powerful, I can tell you that. And now that I think about it, Katelyn I guess you must have that half in your blood as you and Mei are sisters. But, I'm getting sidetracked! I must get there now!"

"Slow down Lexa." I freeze. Only one person calls me like that. I turn around to see Aaron looking really pissed off. "I'm not letting you jump into the fight like last time. It was a miracle you didn't die last time. You won't have the same luck this time."

"Look Aaron, I'm sick of you telling me what to do. It's my life and I'm planing to live it the way I want to. And right now I want to save our friends." I turn around and try to leave but he grabs my hand and turns me around.

"I lost you once, I won't let it happen again."

"Aaron, what do you mean? You knew her before?" Aphmau asks, a confused look on her face. We both ignore her.

"YOU WON'T LET IT HAPPEN AGAIN? Don't make me laugh! You don't have any control on anything you little king. I thought you changed but it looks like I was so wrong. Aphmau, if I were you, I would be careful around him. He's only one selfish prince that once something is to dangerous or boring for him, he throws it away." And with that, I pull my hand out of his grip and start running towards the sound of the battle.

Aaron's P.O.V.

"Aaron, what was all that?" Aphmau asks again.
