chapter two:

Emily's pov:

a few hours passed and my mom was getting bad. She was laying on the couch and all a sudden sounded like she couldn't breathe.

" mom are you okay?!" I asked running over to her. "
I could tell she something bad was happening she was holding her chest tightly.
" Caleb! hurry!" I yelled
" what's wrong?" He asked running to me and mom.
" moms really bad help me get her to the car. We need to go to the hospital." I told him.

We got mom in the car and Caleb drove as fast as he could to the hospital. My eyes were tearing up so fast all I could think of is when we rushed dad to the hospital and he died.

We pulled in and they rushed mom to a special room. Me and Caleb sat in her room talking waiting for them to bring her back.

" Caleb I'm so scared." I said starting to cry
" it's okay, I'm here for you." He said leaning close to me on the mini couch with his arm around me.

I was so scared to hear results from the test. But when Caleb leaned up tight against me i felt protected I wanted it to last forever.

The door cracked open slowly. it was one of the doctors.

" hello my name is Dr. Davis I am from the testing area. We are very sorry to tell you your mother sadly did not make it. As soon as they brought her back we were moving her to the machine and she passed. I'm deeply sorry for your loss. She died from a heart condition called hypertrophic cardiomyopathy where a part of the heart muscle becomes very think and can stop blood flow. Sometimes you live with it and your first sign of it could be death. We deeply are sorry for your loss mam. We will give you privacy and be back in later. " he said slowly shutting the door.

I didn't know what to do my mom and dad were gone. I started crying my eyes out. Then Caleb hugged me tightly.

I cried on Calebs shoulder for at least one hour before another doctor came.

" hello mam would you like to see your mother?" She asked.
" yes please." I said standing up Caleb walked with me and tears burning my eyes.

I walked to the door I looked at Caleb and he looked at me. He grabbed my hand and held it tight. I smiled at him with a river of tears in my eyes.

The nurse opened the door. She was laying in a hospital bed. I walked over to her and grabbed her hand.

" we will give you guys a moment. I am sorry for your loss." The nurse said walking out of the room.

Mom was cold I couldn't believe this happened i kneeled at her bed crying holding her cold hand. Mom was gone and dad was gone. What was I gonna do? Where was i gonna go? Who was I always gonna turn to for advice?

" God why her why dad why are you taking my parents  away from me!" I yelled crying.
" Emily I'm here everything is gonna be okay I know your having a really hard time and I'm really upset myself. " he said starting to tear up.
" Caleb.. You don't understand.. I don't know If I will ever get better... My mom and dad are gone.. forever.."
" it's gonna take a lot of time for sure but I won't leave your side." He said hugging me tight.
