{ chapter twenty seven }

three years later

Calebs pov:

i jumped up really fast in bed and shook my head to the clock. 4:00 am it read. I glanced around my room which felt like 1,000 times. and I was sweating hard.

" babe what's wrong?" Zoe asked me
" it's okay Zoe go back to bed everything's fine."
" okay but only if you cuddle with me." She said with a wink.
" okay come here " I said and I layed down beside her and held her close.

Zoe is my new girlfriend I haven't seen Emily in three years but she passed my mind everyday. I always wonder if she is alive or dead. I love Zoe but we don't have the bond me and Emily had.

Emily's pov:

I woke up in my apartment. I went into the kitchen and made some pancakes. I glanced around the room to make sure nobody was there but me and Jake. after I was kidnapped that day I was tortured, assaulted, and raped. I had to live a terrible life for two whole years.

as soon as I escaped, I adopted jake. a rescued Great Dane. he was my protection. I missed Caleb. so much. I no longer had his number. but most of all I wasn't sure if he was still alive after all the wounds he received. but I thought about him everyday and damn I missed him. alot.

everyday I would eat, get ready and then everyday me and Jake would go on walks around town. just to see the scenery and get some fresh air.

I washed my face, did some makeup, and put my hair into a high ponytail. then me and jake started outside.

Calebs pov:

I woke up to the feeling of somebody running their fingers through my hair.

" good morning Zoe." I said and kissed her nose.
" good morning baby. " she said with a stretch.
"do you wanna go get ready and we can spend the WHOLE day together shopping and going places?"
" yeah! sounds great Caleb I will go get an outfit out of my duffle bag."

about every weekend she came and stayed with me. her father would not allow her to live here until she was ' mature ' enough.

* a few hours later *

I started out to the car with Zoe. she was stunning. damn.

" where to for breakfast your pick baby." I said
" Ihop!" she squealed

Emily's pov:

I was walking down the street. I was picking out a place to shop. this ' outdoor ' mall allows dogs so me and jake always come here. but I noticed something, someone. I knew I had seen them before.
