{chapter thirty three}

Emily's pov:

weeks passed. the hospital was always lonely and cold. Caleb visited everyday but why? he didn't like me anymore. he forgot about me.

we were just friends. That word hurt me more than anything. I still wanted to marry him and raise a family but he didn't want that anymore. not with me.

it was 7:00 am and I woke up in the really uncomfortable hospital bed. I just layed staring at the ceiling. I dug around my hospital bed and found my tv remote. I just turned on lifetime movie network and watched that for a solid hour. then there was a tap on my door. I looked at the clock 8:05am.

"come in" I spoke.

It was Caleb he had brought breakfast for me like any other day. I sat up and he put the food on my little eating table and he sat in a chair by the bed.

" emily I have some good news for you."
" what is it?" I said with a little giggle.
" the nurses are doing another exam.-"
" ugh " I interrupted.
" let me finish, if the exam goes well you leave the hospital today."
" Caleb are you serious?!" I yelled in a very happy tone.
" yep!"

I felt happiness run through my whole body I hated hospitals and the food was okay but I wanted Calebs cooking it was better.

wait.

I kept forgetting that Caleb didn't want me anymore. so I felt a even rush of sadness run through my body at the same time. but at least we were friends. i hate that word.

* one hour later *

Me and Caleb just sat together talking and watching movies. then a nurse walked in.

" you ready for the final exam?!" she said in a exited tone.

" yep!" I said as I stood up and stumbled then started following her. walking was hard just because I was so used to laying down all day.

Calebs pov:

the nurse came in and took Emily to a final exam. damn I really hope this goes well.

I want Emily back but she probauly doesn't like me the way she used too. she probably thought I forgot about her for those three years. but even though I had other girlfriends I always thought about her.

* 30 minutes later *

Emily walked back into the room with a nurse.

" Ok dear we will have results back in ten minutes."
" thank you " Emily said as she got back into bed.

* 10 minutes later* { omg so many time skips sorry 😂}

the nurse came in with the papers and me and Emily gave her our full attention.

" Um hello Emily I have your results." she said as she scrambled through many papers in her binder.

" you are going to be released today congrats!" she said and Emily's face still looked upset.

" thank you." Emily said not as exited as I thought she would be. then she got up, changed clothes, and gathered all of her belongings. we made our way to the desk and checked out.

Emily's pov:
I was happy to be out of the hospital but I wasn't happy about going home and living the same boring life as before. Caleb would go home and so would I and we would separate again.

Calebs pov:
" Emily " i said and my voice cracked because I was nervous to ask what was wrong.
" yes ?"
" why are you sad?"

then she got teary eyed.

" nothing. " she said holding back her tears.

I drove to her apartment and I waked inside with her. her apartment was amazing it was white and back and it was a two floor apartment. it was gorgeous.

" thanks for the ride Caleb." she sniffed and walked up to her room to put her stuff away.

But I followed her up.

" Emily what is wrong? Please tell me I'm a nervous wreck!"
" Caleb I can't!" she yelled and started crying.
" yes you can Emily why don't you trust me!"
" Caleb you can't know." she lowered her voice and walked to her closet.
" Emily please." I said and I started to cry.
" fine Caleb. I still have feelings for you but don't even worry about it because I know you don't feel the same its not a big deal." Then she started crying hard.
" Emily can I tell you something."
" yes. " she sniffled.
" I'm still in love with you. "

before she could speak I kissed her lips and we didn't break the kiss it felt good to kiss her again.

{ holy cow that was a longgggg chapter.
