chapter four:

* a few days later *

Emily's pov:
it was the day. the day of my mothers funeral.
I woke up to Caleb tapping my cheek.

" hey sleepy head." he said smiling
" good morning." I said wrapping my arms around him.

He must have just woken up because the bedroom door was still shut and he wasn't "dressed." I slid out of bed exhausted. he wrapped his arms around me.

" your so strong Emily."
" awe thanks bubs." I said holding him close he was warm and it felt good.

I grabbed my black dress, diamond necklace and high heels from the closet. ( we had separate closets put in his room.)

" hey Caleb I'm gonna shower I will be right back." I said walking out the door
" okay." he said looking at me while trying to find something nice to wear to moms funeral.

I took off my clothes and got in the hot shower. I got chills thinking about my moms funeral. I started to cry but I thought.
" mom would want me to be strong." I hurried so I could get my hair straightened before Katie prepared breakfast.

I got out of the shower and dried off. I slipped on my dress and necklace and put on some slipper socks until it was time to leave. I put in my contacts and did some simple makeup just how mom liked it. then I blow dried my hair and when it dried i straightened it.

i walked out of the bathroom and walked back into Calebs room. I saw him he looked so handsome. I was in love. I walked in and saw his eyes widen.

" you look.. beautiful." he said
" thanks bubs." I said walking over to him and hugging him close.

We headed upstairs everyone was dressed very nice and I smiled slowly tearing up. Then Annie walked over to me.

" you look gorgeous!!" Annie said then I saw Hayley look at me and run from the breakfast bar to the stairs.
" Emily you look so pretty!" She said
" maybe could you straighten my hair?" Hayley added.
" of coarse I will!" I said hugging her
" me too please?" Annie asked

I laughed and smiled at both of them.
" yes girls after breakfast."

We ate some pancakes and had orange juice. Then we looked at the time it was 11:30 we had to be at the funeral home at 12:30.
" you two ready to get your hair done?" I asked the girls.
" yes!" They both said and we all walked downstairs.

I was finishing Hayley's hair when Caleb walked in.
" makeovers huh?" He asked laughing
" yep." I said laughing back

When Hayley was done I started on Annie's and Hayley said.
" Emily straighten Calebs hair!" then she looked at me and Caleb.
" well..?" I said giggling
" Do you want me too?" I added.
" sure." He said grinning.

finally everyone was done and it was 12:15 we were ready to go. We all got in the car and it was a short drive until we were there. I stood at the door and felt Calebs warm fingers interlace with mine.
" It will be alright." He said
I tightened my grip on his hand.
" I sure hope so." I said walking in.
