{ chapter twenty nine }

Emily's pov:

I woke up dizzy as hell. Jake was resting his head on my thigh waiting to be fed.
I squinted looking for my clock. 3:40 PM. it read.

I stumbled to my phone. and surprisingly I had a missed call. it was Caleb. he called about three hours ago.

Calebs pov:

" IM SUCH AN ASSHOLE! " I screamed.
I just dropped off zoey at home but I felt awful. I treated Emily like shit im such a bastard. she wouldn't answer my calls maybe because she was pissed at me.

then my phone went off. it was Emily!

Emily's pov:

I prayed that he would answer and the line picked up.

" hey is it Caleb? " I asked stupidly
" yeah, Emily I'm so sorry."
" so who's your girlfriend?"
" her name is Zoe "
" oh well do you wanna go to the café? and get a cup of coffee and catch up?"
" yeah sounds great see you soon."

I was honestly more upset than ever. he had already moved on. but I had to accept it. I found my twaimz llama hoodie and I put it on with some leggings and ugg boots. I straightened my hair and did my makeup, I wanted to look nice and maybe I would win him back.

Calebs pov:

I was exited but I wanted to look good for her. wait why did I wanna look good I have a girlfriend? snap out of it Caleb you have a girlfriend. I said to myself. I wore a baseball hoodie and joggers, she loved when I dressed in joggers and hoodies.

I was worried. was I gonna fall for her all over again? a lot has changed in these three years. then I walked out of the house.

" well here we go." I said as I walked out.

1/2 hour later

Emily's pov:
I walked to the café and sat down and tapped my feet in rhythm against the floor. I was so nervous. I'm not sure why though. then I saw him he looked so hot. Joggers and hoodies were always my favorite. then he came to the table and sat down.

Calebs pov:

she looked stunning. she had on such a simple outfit but I loved it. wait Caleb you have a girlfriend you cant fall in love with her. I said in my head over and over again before I sat at the table.

" emily I'm sorry about yesterday. I was being a total asshole."
" Caleb it's okay."
" well how are you? do you have a boyfriend? " shit I didn't mean to ask so fast.
" I'm good I guess. and I'm not dating anyone right now." she said as she sipped on her coffee.

she felt nervous I could tell. I felt terrible. I miss Emily she was the best girlfriend I have ever had. then to make things worse zoe walked through the front door with four of her friends..
