Is there sunshine after the rain?

INTRO:

Jade (14) and Cc (17) have been best friends since they were young. They live next door to each other and hang out all the time. They have everything in common and share the same interests except... Jade is mad about R5, and talks about them all the time! Cc tells Jade that they are stupid and can't sing, but she secretly thinks Ross is super cute!

Jade's POV:

*ding dong* I rang Cc's doorbell. I was greeted by her mom Sara which surprised me as Sara hardly ever answered the door unless Cc was out. " hey Sara, where's Cc? Has she gone out?" I said.

"No she's in her room talking to James" He was Cc's boyfriend who clearly hated me because I spent so much time with "his super scrummy sweetie" I knew Cc hated it when he called her that, but as he was a violent jerk, and she was scared to tell him otherwise, so she just screwed up her face and dealt with it. That's why I hated him because he was changing her and forcing her to make the wrong decisions and to stay away from me. He also called Cc names and treated her like she was nothing. The worst part was, she just took whatever he said and laughed like it didn't matter, even though it did to her on the inside. If anyone else called her names, it was almost guaranteed that no matter who they were, she would slap them!

Sara saw my face drop as soon as she mentioned James. " don't worry he's not here, they're FaceTiming. Is it important??" she asked

" we'll kinda" I replied shyly not wanting to interrupt James with Cc as I knew how violent he can be. Sara could tell that something was wrong, so she invited me in and asked me if I wanted to go and tell her that I was here and needed to talk to her. " ARE YOU CRAZY?! IF HE CAN BE VIOLENT TO HIS..." Well that's something I promised Cc to not even think about I said in my head. I just shrugged and looked down to my hands and fiddled with my thumbs. Sara took my signal as a no and went upstairs to get Cc. I decided to follow, fearful of what she was going to say. I made sure that Cc couldn't see me so she didn't get excited as we hadn't seen each other in a while. I heard Sara say " Cc, come on, we need to go and get Nicolas from mall, he has fallen out with B"

Ok, first off "Nicolas" or "Nick" was Cc's younger brother who was 15, and "B" was Nick's girlfriend. Secondly, that was a complete lie which Sara explained in her movement to Cc so she didn't start asking questions.

Cc's POV:

I was talking to James using FaceTime when I heard the doorbell ring. I hesitated to get up before remembering who I was talking to. "what's wrong my super scrummy sweetie?" I felt like screaming to him. " DON'T CALL ME THAT! I HATE IT SO MUCH AND I HATE YOU!" I held my voice back and shook the thought out of my head, and sat back down and cleared my throat before saying" Oh um nothing" He shook his head and said" you're such a weird kid."

Every time he calls me a name, I die a little more inside.

Anyway, I want you to move in with me."

I think I stopped breathing for a few seconds "NONONONONONO!!!!!!!" I screamed in my head.

Luckily, my mom walked up the stairs and cut off the conversation by saying " Cc, come on, we need to go and get Nicolas from mall, he has fallen out with B" I knew she was lying as she pointed towards my door and mouthed" J-A-D-E" I automatically lit up inside, knowing I could trust her. I said to James "I-I-I need to go, my brother will either be mad or upset. Sorry babe, I need to speak to him" I looked at my mum and then looked back at James. By now, he had his arms crossed looking away from the camera with an angry look in his face. I said sorry and he said it was fine, and then he hung up obviously annoyed which made me worry.

Sara's POV:

Every time Cc comes off the phone from talking to James she gets upset, annoyed, or she just stays quiet. Something tells me she doesn't like him, but I know I can't get involved because I don't want her or myself to get hurt. If her dad was here, he would know what to do and would interfere. I don't think any of us have recovered from his murder. Especially because we don't know who killed him.

I called up Jade, and went downstairs so they could talk alone. I sat on my own in silence thinking in the kitchen about what I was going to do. For some reason, I felt like I hadn't been told the whole truth. It felt like there was something Cc wasn't telling me. I needed time to think so I told Cc I was going out and would be back late. I thought of where to go, when I knew I could talk to von, Jade's mom do I grabbed my purse and walked out the door.

Jade's POV:

I walked into Cc's room and screamed! "AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH" Cc jumped up and stared at me. "Guess what! I found out that R5 are coming to perform a concert here, in California! I asked my mum to get me tickets, and..." I paused to take a breath ..."SHE SAID YES EEEEEEWEWEEEEWEEEEEE!!!!!"

Cc just stood there and stared at me. She then looked happy and broke into a smile. " the only problem is..." I paused saying it sadly, hoping Cc would want to know. " my parents said I can't go unless I take you, your brother, or my sister because it's the other side of the city. My sis said she won't come because she doesn't want me to go to a 'pointless event'" I emphasised the words 'pointless event' as I wanted her to know it wasn't. I carried on " And if I took your brother, B would think I'm making a move, which i would never do, and I want to remain her friend. I don't suppose you will want to go, so I guess I will have to be upset and bored for the rest of my life" I saw her looking at me with one eyebrow raised and with a sarcastic smile, which I think that meaned that she knew I was asking her to go by making her feel guilty.

" I will go with you on one condition."

Damn it I knew there was going to be a catch! "What? I will do anything!" I exclaimed even though if she asked me to be around James I was gonna have to ask her brother to come with me instead.

I looked over at Cc to see she had a small smile on her face. I knew that smile meant trouble. " oh god I know I'm going to regret asking this, but what do I have to do? Hey wait that's an R5 song title!"

"seriously!?!?" Cc said "anyway, you have to promise not to talk about R5 once we've been to the concert for..." she paused thinking hard. "a whole week!" she said it with a smile punishing me like a sister would.

" fine" I said sharply crossing my arms pouting. We both suddenly started bursting out laughing and hugged each other.
