Chapter 19

Cc's POV:

Once Ratliff had left, I ran into the garden and locked myself in the Lynch's outhouse. Ross ran to the door shouting " Cc! Open the door!" I ignored him and looked around looking for one thing in particular. Riker came to the window and said

" Cc, what are you doing?!" I looked him with the object in my hand. " put the gun down!" Riker screamed. All of a sudden Ross stopped banging on the door and went over to the window on the other side. " Ross, this is all my fault!" I whispered. He looked at me with tears in his eyes. " no it's not Cv, it's Ratliff's" I sat down on the bean bag they have there, and threw the gun at the door as hard as I could, and then cried into my hands. " Babe, listen to me. I love you and so does everyone around you. Why are you doing this to yourself?" I looked at him and said " because I have ruined everyone's lives and now everyone is miserable." I looked him in the eyes and he said " you have ruined no ones lives!" I looked at him and cried so hard I thought I was going to stop breathing. " my best friend is dead because of my selfish ignorant decisions." I picked the gun up off the floor and ran my finger along the barrel. " you weren't selfish Cc." I looked at him and screamed " YES I WAS! DON'T LIE! EVERYONE HATES ME BECAUSE I'VE RUINED THEM!" I walked up to the window and put my hand on it. " Ross, I'm sorry I put you through all this. I don't deserve you." I walked into the middle of the room and loaded the gun.

Ross' POV:

She stood there crying so hard she looked like she was about to keel over. She pulled the gun to her head. " AAAAAHHHHH!" I screamed with all my might that I could find. Ratliff ran into the back yard and stood with Riker. All of a sudden, Rocky came next to me and had his slingshot. He pushed me out the way and launched it at the gun. It knocked it out of Cc's hands. Then, I kicked open the door and grabbed Cc. She screamed. And caught my grip. ' Ross! Let go of me! You want me dead so why won't you let me carry out your wish?!?" she still struggled trying to get the gun. Riker picked it up and disarmed it. I let Cc go and she tried to cut herself with the broken glass. Rocky grabbed her and I took away the glass. " Cc! LISTEN TO ME!" I screamed. She stopped fighting us all and stood there. I cupped her face and said " I don't want you dead, and neither does anyone else!" she cried and I hugged her. She held me tight as I picked her up and cradled her in my arms. I walked back into the house and carried her up to my room. Just then, her phone buzzed. She looked at it, then threw it across the room. I looked at her with a scared expression. She curled up into a ball and cried again. I walked over to her phone and looked at the twitter message.

' heard about your suicide

Attempt, why don't you do us all a favour, and finish the job.'

I looked who it was from and that name made me stiffen with anger.

James.

Then, another tweet popped up.

' Everyone hates you! You're a mess do us all a favour and die.'

It was from Laura. Why?

Suddenly, there was a storm of hate. Comments like:

You're a mistake

Life wrecker

Murderer

Experiment gone wrong

Useless

Unloved

Unwanted

Spread around the screen. Cc looked over my shoulder and said " I told you" then she ran out of my room. I followed her, but bumped into Rocky. I shoved her phone in his face and he looked up at me. " get Riker NOW!" I screamed at him. I started running after Cc again and followed her into the kitchen. When I got there, I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me.
