Chapter 12

Ross' POV:

I was just walking to my room to get my phone when I heard shouting from Rydel's room. I walked to the doorway and saw Cc held by her neck against the wall by Riker. 'GET OFF HER!" I shouted at Riker. I ran into the room, and I could see Cc with fear in her eyes. I tried to pull her free, but Riker was too strong. Then, without thinking, I punched him in the face. At that moment, Cc collapsed to the floor and laid there motionless. " LOOK WHAT YOUVE DONE!" I screamed at Riker. I looked over at Rydel who had crawled over to Cc and was sobbing. " GET OUT!" Once I said that, Riker ran out of the room. I grabbed Cc and rested her head on my lap. Just then, she woke up. " where's Riker?" she asked in a panicked voice. " it's ok babe, he's gone." that was when she started crying. She rolled herself onto her side to face me, and cried into my chest. " I need to talk to you." she whispered into me. " ok then" I picked her up and carried her into my room. I sat her down on my lap. " so what's up?"

Cc's POV:

I looked at him and said " Riker did it because I was going to tell you-" I paused and let some tears out. Why was this so hard? " tell me what?" he looked into my eyes looking nervous. " The girl he made a move on was me." once I said it, I could see the anger in his face. " that's it. He's going to get it." he said in a serous voice as he stood up. " don't be mad at me." I said with yet more tears. So that was why it was so hard. " I'm not mad at you, but did you kiss him back?" I looked at him and half smiled. " No. He tried to make me, but I didn't I swear." he looked at me and gave me a sympathetic smile. " I'm Gonna kill Riker!" I stood up and tried to kiss him to calm him down, but he pulled away. " you're mad aren't you." he stared into my eyes " no, I am annoyed at Riker. How could he do this?" I felt more tears roll down my cheek. " please don't hurt him. Even though he did what he did, he is still your brother." Ross looked at me funny, and shook his head. " you're too kind Cc, you shouldn't give him a second chance." Ross turned around and walked out of the door. " where are you going?" I was concerned that he was going to see Riker. " come with me, and you'll find out."

We walked out of the door holding hands, and I thought we were going downstairs until we walked past them, and that's when I knew where we were going.

*BANG BANG BANG*

Ross thumped his fist on Riker's door. " ok bro, I know you're there, chill!" Riker said as he opened the door. Before Riker had any time to react, he was pinned against the wall by Ross. "why? Why did you try to kiss her and why did you hurt her?" he spoke with anger in his voice. " I'm sorry, but she didn't kiss me back. Anyway, it's not like you haven't cheated on C-" he was cut off by Ross' hand over his mouth. " Ross, what does he mean 'cheated on me'?" I used air quotes around 'cheated on me' Ross looked over his shoulder and said " it's nothing, it was before I met you that's all" then Riker started giggling. ' no bro, you know it was when you and Cc had that fight?" I looked at Riker with my mouth wide open who shrugged and said " now do you wish you'd kissed me?" I felt a tear run down my cheek so I ran out of the room and ran to Rydel's and shut the door. " is it true?" I felt more tears roll down my face as Rydel looked confused. " is what true?" she looked at me as I slid down the door. "Did Ross cheat on me?" she looked down and rubbed the back of her neck, which was a tell tale sign for any of the lynch's that they were lying. " well sort of, he was out with Jade, and they came back, and when Riker and I walked in, they were making out on the couch. I'm so sorry Cc" after she finished, I was crying so hard, I couldn't breathe. " Rydel, let me in!" it was Riker. Rydel looked at me and I nodded my head.

Riker came in and sat against he door next to me. " I'm sorry for what happened before. Don't hate me." I looked at him and pulled him in for a hug. " at least you had the decency to tell me the secret that Ross kept from me. Im sorry Riker" as I said it, he pulled me into a hug and kissed the top of my head as I was still crying.

" Cc, listen, I-" we all knew it was Ross, and I shook my head and started crying again, so Riker cut him off. " Ross, leave her alone! She's upset with you so just back off!" I looked at him and plucked up the courage to say " how could you cheat on me with my best friend?" and then I started crying again. " Cc, listen, it was a mistake! I'm sorry!" Riker looked at Rydel who said " you should be Ross! Ever since you've been in her life, she's just been upset!" I looked at Rydel shocked that she said that. " Cc, can we talk on our own?" Ross said so quietly it was almost a whisper. " fine, but if you mess up then that's it." I got up and wiped the tears from my face.

I followed Ross into his room and sat down on his bed. " what" I looked into his eyes and felt like I was being stabbed. More tears rolled down my cheek so I looked down. " I'm so sorry, it was a mistake! I was upset and it just happened!" he looked at me and pulled my chin up. " I've messed up, I know, but please forgive me" I looked into his eyes and said " it's ok, I forgive you. If you ever do anything like this again..." Tears rolled down my face yet again. This seemed to be happening a lot lately.

I was just About to continue, but was cut off by Ross pressing his lips onto mine. He pulled back and tucked a piece of hair behind my ear. " I won't I promise. By the way, what's your favourite animal?" I looked at him puzzled which made him smile. "dragons!" I screamed. " I love them!"

" ok, I get it, you love dragons!" we both burst out laughing. Then, Ross said " it's 10:30, we should go to bed." so we did.
