Chapter 17

Ratliff's POV:

"she still hasn't text me and it's been a whole hour! It only takes ten minutes to walk to Lou's." Ross sent me glares and said " that's because she doesn't love you." he got up to walk away, and I shouted " well it's not like you love her, you cheated on her!" big mistake. Ross turned around and walked towards me with his fists curled up. I stood where I was and before I had any time to react, I had been punched in the face. " what did you say?" he asked with anger in his voice. " I said you broke her heart" Ross left no time and jumped on me pinching me in the face. "ROSS SHOR LYNCH!" Someone screamed. Ross stopped hitting me and we both looked over to see Riker, Rocky, and Rydel standing there. Ross went to hit me again but Riker grabbed his wrist and pulled him off me. Rydel and Rocky helped me up and walked me over to the bathroom. I washed my face and Rydel cleaned the cuts. then, Ross came running into the bathroom and said " I'm so sorry El, but we need to go." he handed me his phone and he had got a text from Cc's phone.

' if you ever want to see me again, you need to find me and kill yourself in front of me.' then it gave an address.

I looked back up at Ross who had tears rolling down his cheeks. Just as I was about to hand his phone back, when it started to ring. It was Laura. I pretended I didn't see it, and as Ross walked into a room and then he answered it.

" Laura, thanks to you, my relationship with Cc is ruined! I love Cc and I don't think we should see each other again."

Then he hung up. Wow. He really did care about Cc. I walked into the room and gave Ross a bro hug. " I'm so sorry dude." he looked at me and said

" it's ok bro, at least I know she will be happy with you."

We were in the van and had just pulled up to the given location. " guys, why didn't we call the police?" I questioned. Ross looked at me and said " because then he will kill her." I left the conversation at that and we all got out and walked up to the building.

Ross went in first, and I went in second. " Cc? Where are you?" suddenly we heard a "HELP!" being screamed out. We all ran to another

Warehouse type room, and there she

Was tied up to a chair with James holding a knife to her neck.She was battered and bruised and looked terrified out of her skin. " what do you want?" Ross asked.

" I want you dead" James exclaimed with anger in his voice. " why" We all asked together. " because you stole Cc form me! If she hadn't have met you, Cc would have never broken up" Ross stood there staring looking slightly confused. " well, you are obviously not aware that we split up then are you?" as he said it, I watched a tear escape form Cc's eye. " is this true?" he asked Cc. She nodded her head hard. " are you going out with anyone then?" he asked her. Her eyes shot over to me and I shook my head trying to protect her. " no I wear" she said to James. I looked at her and smiled. She just stared at me clearly wanting to cry her heart out.

Cc's POV:

I looked over To Ratliff in a panic. He shook his head. I'm not sure if that ment we weren't going out, or he just wanted me to say it. " no I swear" I said. I was so scared of this guy. I looked over to Ratliff and he smiled at me. I think that meant that we were going out. I felt like such a mess and felt like crying. I looked over at Ross who looked like he was trying to hide the fact that he was about to burst into tears at any second. "Cc, marry me." James said as he pulled out a ring. "sorry Janes, but I can't." he looked at me and said " it wasn't a question. Marry me" he said with anger in his voice. Just then, out The corner of my eye, I saw Riker on the phone. I presumed he was talking to the police, but I had no idea. I looked at Hames and said " No James, I love someone else." I didn't look at anyone, and I really didn't know who I loved. " who do you love?!" he demanded. " I don't know, all I know is that it isn't you. I never loved you in the first place!" Right now, I knew I had nothing to loose. I ached all over and couldn't care less what James, or anyone, did to me right now. James bent over and picked up the crowbar on the floor. He raised it above his head and hit me in the sides. I just sat there and absorbed the pain. I cried and saw Ross, Riker, Ratliff, and Rocky run towards James.

They detained him on the floor, and Rydel ran over to me and untied me. She helped me up, and I ignored the

Pain as I ran to the van with her. Just as we got outside, the police arrived. Rydel went over to them and told them where the boys were, and then came back over to me.

She opened the van door and helped me inside. Then the pain kicked in. Shortly after I sat down, the boys came out. I saw Ratliff run over, and my face lit up. He came into the van and sat next to me. he put his arms gently around me and kissed me passionately on the lips. After we broke the kiss, I got up and lifted myself out of the van. Ross was standing a few feet from where I was so I walked over to him. " Ross, thanks. I'm sorry about everything, but I'm in a relationship with Ratliff now, Can we just be friends?" he nodded his head and let a tear fall down his face. I opened my arms for a hug, which was a mistake. He hugged me hard. " AAAHHHH!" He let go and took a step back. I collapsed to the floor and Ross immediately picked me up. " oh yeah, I forgot!" he said as I gently hugged him. " friends?" I said as I stood up. " friends." Ross said as we walked back to the van side by side.
