Cc's POV:

" if this dude stands you up, there will be hell to pay!" I looked at Jack who had a serious face. Jack was my best friend besides Jade. He came round to see if I was ok. By now, Lou had came home and was flirting with Riker. She so had a crush on him!

" Jack, he is my boyfriend, it's not a first date!" I said with one eye brow raised. "When are you meeting him and where?" Jack asked like an overreactive parent. Well, I guess he kind of was, as he was 24 and helped my mom look after me when my dad died, and told my mom he would come up here to watch over me, so we are really close. " I'm meeting him at 5 at get shaved dad" I said with a sarcastic smile. " Cc, be home at 11 ok?" he asked but it was more of a statement. " ok" we hugged and he's aid our goodbyes. " if he's not there by half past, call me." he looked at me and kissed me on my forehead before walking out the front door. He got in his car and drove away, so I went upstairs to get changed. I pulled out my favourite top ( a blue Hollister top) and my favourite black skinny jeans. I looked at the clock and it was 4:30. Crap. I quickly went in the shower, and got changed. I ran to Get shaved and checked my phone. 5:05. Ross should be here any minute. I ordered 2 'let them eat cake's because I knew it was Ross' favourite. I liked it too so I ordered one for myself too. It was 5:15 and Ross still wasn't here. I ate my get shaved, and I looked around for Ross. I decided that I was bored and ate Ross' shaved ice too. Once I'd finished, it was 5:30 so I called Jack.

-phone call-

J. " hey baby what's up?"

I don't mind him calling me baby because I was his baby, and was Ross' babe. Well I thought I was.

C. " Ross stood me up!"

I started crying in the middle of the town.

J. "I'm coming to get you."

C. "ok meet me outside get shaved"

J. " stay where you are."

I could sense the anger in his voice.

C. " love you bye"

We always said this, like family, not boyfriend and girlfriend.

J. " love you too. See ya"

he hung up and I sat down and cried with my head on the table. " Cc!" I looked up seeing Ross standing there out of breath. Ross had obviously ran from his house. He looked at both the empty shaved ice cups. "i'm sorry Cc." he said out of breath. Just then, I saw Jack's truck pull up. " Ross, I suggest you run." he looked at me confused. I got up and headed towards Jack. I got in the car and Jack hugged me and kissed my cheek. I looked at the table where I was and saw Ross with his hands over his face. I was staring at him and Jack said " is that 'Ross'?" I looked at him and nodded my head with tears falling into my lap.

Jack got out of his car and walked over to Ross. Oh no. I jumped out the car and ran towards Jack who was standing over Ross. " JACK! GET AWAY!" I screamed at him. He stared at me with a confused and angry look. Ross turned to me and went to walk to me. Jack grabbed him by the collar and punched him in the face. " JACK! I TOLD YOU TO LEAVE IT!" I stared at Ross who was now on the floor motionless. He opened his eyes as I bent down next to him. " Ross! I'm so sorry! I told him to stop." I looked at Jack who bent his head down. " but I need to know why did you stand me up?" he avoided eye contact and looked away. " Ross. I need to know" he looked at me and said " I was with- um-" he paused and looked at his feet.

" ROSS!" I screamed. He looked at me and said " I was with Laura." I felt tears roll down my face. " making out?" I asked with a soft voice. Ross looked down and nodded his head once. " I HATE YOU!" I screamed. I got up an walked away with tears rolling down my face. I picked up my phone and called the one person I knew I could talk to. I couldn't talk to Jack because I knew he would beat up Ross.

-phone call-

R. " hello?"

C. " Riker. I need to talk to you."

I was trying not to cry, but when I saw Ross getting up, that set up the tears.

R. " What's he done now?" he said with anger in his voice.

C. " can I come round?"

R. " yup sure. I'll pick you up. See you in a minute."

C. " how do you know where-"

I paused remembering that I was supposed to be on a date with Ross.

" don't worry."

R. " see you in 5. Love you"

The lynches say it in a best friend way.

C. " love you too. Bye"

I hung up and say on a low wall. I felt on a hand on my back. I turned round seeing Ross there. " Go away Ross." I said calmly. then, Riker pulled up and beckoned me over. I got in, and before Ross got in, Riker started to pull away. " Riker. Look at him. Let him ride." he looked at me and stopped the car and called Ross over. He smacked Ross on his cheek. " HOW DARE YOU!" Ross stood there, in too much pain too move. " Riker! Leave him alone!" I said as I got out of the car and helped Ross in. " I'm so sorry Cc." Ross said over and over again. " save it Ross." I said with tears rolling my face. I helped him put his seatbelt on, because he had blood all over his face. He leaned over and kissed my cheek. I pulled away and cried. " babe, don't fight it." I stared at him, and shouted

" ROSS! LEAVE ME ALONE! IM ONLY HELPING YOU BECAUSE MY BABY HIT YOU!" he looked at me and a tear rolled down his face. " Your baby?" I got in the back and sat on the opposite side of the car. " he looked after me when my dad died. He calls me his baby and he's my baby too. Not the way I WAS your BABE." I emphasised the words ' was' and 'babe'. I looked over at Ross and he was staring at me. " was?!?" he said.
