Chapter 29 (Niall’s P.O.V.)

Now that was unexpected. Louis, Harry, and I had momentarily stopped talking as we surfed the channels on the TV. That was when we could hear raised voices. We all looked at each other in worry as we stayed quiet. We tried to ignore it, but it was hard to when we all saw Perrie storming toward the front door.

“Bye Perrie.” I said in a small voice. I didn’t want to put my nose where it didn’t belong, but I felt as if she needed to hear something from us before she left.

I looked back to the other boys, before we all turned to look in the direction of Zayn’s and Harry’s room. We heard no movement.

“I’ll be back.” Harry said as he stood and started for his room. Louis and I watched impatiently as his curly head disappeared.

“I wonder what that was all about.” Louis asked. I shrugged my shoulders at him. I really wasn’t sure either. I had an idea, but I didn’t want to be jumping to conclusions. However, my conclusions began to take over as Harry did not return to the living room.

“I need a snack.” I grumbled, as I stood and headed for the kitchen. I hated waiting around for things, it always managed to make me hungry.

I scoped out the kitchen, finding not much that could be snacked on without cooking. I grumbled. I was in one of those eating, but not wanting to cook moods. I sighed, deciding on some chips. I mean, you can’t go wrong there.

I headed back into the living room, munching away. That was when I noticed that Liam had finally come out of his room, and was standing near Louis talking.

“Hey Niallers,” I looked at me, “Do I seem presentable to you?”

I looked at him funny. I kind of wanted to laugh. Liam was supposed to go with Hannah for lunch today so the two could get caught up face-to-face. It was so amusing how he wanted to look just right.

“You look fine.” I said as I emptied my mouth.

Louis slapped Liam in the leg, “See I told you.”

Liam looked down at Louis, “I guess I’ll see you guys later.”

He had a huge grin on his face as he walked out the door. I shook my head as I retook my seat on the couch. Louis stretched over from his place on the other couch, sticking his hand in the chip bag.

“Our daddy has grown so much.” Louis said dramatically, wiping a fake tear from his cheek.

“No,” I shook my head, “He’s just fallen in love.”

That was when I heard a door open. I turned to see Harry walking out of his room with Zayn behind him. They split as they reached us. I noticed Harry shake his head at us. I knew what he was saying, we needed to give Zayn some space about what happened earlier. I looked over at the Bradford Boi, seeing him deep in thought. I sighed to myself. It was like one thing started to fall in place and others were starting to fall apart.
