Chapter 45 (Tracey’s P.O.V.)

I was so happy that the guys were back. Those had been the three loneliest weeks of my life. Don’t get me wrong, I was lonely when the girls left the first time, but at least I still had the guys in town to see. But that was all over for now, because the guys were back in town. Another good thing, Louis and I could finish our plot. It was hard to believe that we had been working on this plot since the day that he got my number, but we had been. The greatest part was that we were going to be putting our plot into action soon.

                “See you later, Tracey.”

“Yeah,” I replied, “See you.” as I walked out of my work. I sighed as soon as I was out of door. That had been one of the longest work days of my life.

“You seem full of energy?” I could hear the sarcasm in his voice as he walked up beside me.

I looked at him, “How long have you been waiting on me?”

                “Only five minutes.” Louis said.

I sighed, “I am so tired.”

“Just hang in there.” Louis put his arm around my shoulders, “We’ll be down plotting soon and then I’ll take you home.”

That was easier for him to say. He had been back since yesterday and has done nothing but sleep since. I had just worked a double shift and wanted my bed.

“Okay,” I said as we walked. We were heading for the arcade. We had been talking this through for a while, but today we were going to do a walkthrough as Hannah and Liam. Yes, Louis and I have been plotting to get the two of them together for over two months now. We were wanting everything to be perfect for when we hoped they would finally get together.

“Okay,” Louis ran to the racing games, “So we can have a racing tournament.”

“You had to make this unfair didn’t you?” I whined.

He looked at me, “How did you know that Liam was undefeated at this.”

I looked at him, “I was talking about Hannah. She never loses.”

We looked at each other for a moment, before we began to laugh. It was so weird how much those two had in common. It was just more proof that they should be together.

Louis walked over and grabbed my hand and pulled me out the door. “And then,” he started as he pointed to a restaurant across the street, “we could all go there.”

“And when they aren’t looking,” I smiled, “We all get up and leave them.”

We smiled as he led me down the street. We continued for a while. We need a place that was close by. We wanted to tell them that we were there, but trick them there and hoped that they would get together in their long time of aloneness.

“We need someplace good,” Louis mumbled as he scanned the streets. I was scanning them too. That was when I saw it. I stopped in my tracks and stared. Louis kept walking for a moment before he pulled on me and realized I had stopped.

“What is it Tracey?” he said as he stepped back to me. I didn’t answer, I just pointed. Louis turned to follow the imaginary line that my finger that created. His eyes landed on a giant fountain and lit up.

“It’s perfect.” He exclaimed as he began to pull me toward it. He ran around the circular fountain a few times, pulling me with him. His eyes were glued to it the whole time. I groaned in my mind, I was too tired for this.

“It’s perfect.” He exclaimed again as he stopped and twirled me around. “You are amazing!” He sang as he started to dance around with me. I couldn’t help but smile. He was so goofy.

I couldn’t help but laugh as he threw me out and spun me back in. Then we stopped. My hands had landed on his chest, and his arms were around my waist. We were frozen as we just stood there, staring into each other eyes.

                “Louis…” I mumbled.

He didn’t answer me. Instead, he leaned down and brought his lips to mine. I felt my heart stop as he stayed there for a moment, before pulling back. I just stared at him as my heart tried to beat out of my chest.

“Louis…” I whispered his name softly.

“Tracey…” he whispered my name back as he continued to hold me, “I…was hoping to say something before, but I guess you know how I feel now.”

I was looking at him in disbelief as he continued, “I like you Tracey. I really like you. I look forward to hearing from you every day and I couldn’t wait to get back so I could see you. We get along so well and I can’t imagine being without you. Tracey, please stay with me.”

                I was stunned.

                “Will you be my girlfriend?”

I didn’t know what to say. I was at a loss of words.

                ‘What should I say?’
