The Shoot

"Hey Kelly. I don't know what we were going to do for rehearsal but, the guys want to go out tonight." I look nervously at Shawn and wait for her to respond.

"Actually, I was going to make you and Brad go do something. Just meet me down in the parking lot in 10 minutes. And bring Brad."

"Okay. It shouldn't take long, right?"

"Nope. Just get him." She hangs up and I shrug, putting my phone in my pocket.

"Where you going?" Shawn raises his eyebrows as I pass him.

"I have to take Brad to the parking lot and see what she wants to do." I shrug.

"Gotcha. I'll see you later then." He nods and follows me out the door, going the opposite way as me. Basically, all of our rooms are next to each other so, Brad's should be to the right of ours. I knock on the door and wait for the door to open. Sure enough, he opens it, shirtless.

"Hey. You want to hang?" He smirks.

"No." I laugh. "Kelly wants us in the parking lot."

"Okay." Brad walks out and closes the door behind him.

"You don't need a key or anything?" I raise my eyebrows and point to him.

"I have it in my pocket." He pats his pants.

"Alright." I smile and start walking back to the elevator.

"You never mentioned anything about Shawn, you know." Brad nudges me with his shoulder.

"I know. He doesn't approve of it so I never told him."

"He's your brother?"

"Nope." I chuckle. "My best friend."

"Ah." He smiles. "Good, because I was hoping he wasn't your boyfriend."

"That's what everyone says." I mumble and step out of the elevator.

"Where in the parking lot did she want us?" Brad coughs and looks around.

"I don't know." I frown and look at my phone.

"Here you are!" Kelly comes out of nowhere towards us. "Follow me up to the top." I peek a glance at Brad and shake my head. That's one thing we have in common; we have to deal with her craziness.

"We're having a shoot?" Brad gapes as we reach the top and see lights and cameras set up.

"Yeah. We're making a video tonight with it to be shown tomorrow at Magcon." Kelly claps her hands. "Oh, and Paisley, honey, go get your hair and makeup done. You look like death." She strides away, leaving me to stand there with Brad.

"You look beautiful." Brad whispers before striding off as well.

I shake my head and walk to the mirror, assuming this is where I could get everything done. The artist smiles at me and starts working, painting my face while another takes my hair out and brushes it. I'm used to this. It's weird, since I'm not typically like this. If it was my choice, I'd wear jeans and a t-shirt for the rest of my life.

"First, you wear this crop top and these shorts." Kelly points to outfits on a rack. "Then go stand and wait for Brad." I nod and quickly change into it from behind the curtain-thingy. I walk over to the spot where the camera is set up and see Brad, walking towards me with shorts and a shirt to match mine. "You guys just have to dance to the music for a bit and act happy. Then you'll change again, got it?"

"Yep." Brad and I answer at the same time.

They play 'American Dream' by MKTO and we start dancing to it. I laugh at Brad when he pulls me to him and jumps around.
