Nash frowns and looks away for a second before looking back at me. "W-what?"
"He's going on tour." I bite my lip and wipe the rest of the tears off my face.
"Yeah and?" Nash stands up to be in front of me.
"And that means I have to go back to school without him." I shake my head, negative thoughts invading my mind.
"You should talk to him first. Come on, I think I have to go soon." He wraps me in a warm hug before guiding me back into the hotel and back room.
We get back to a frantic looking Shawn and Bart announcing Nash. He gives me a sympathetic look before running onstage.
"Pais, I didn't know where you went." Shawn hugs me but pulls away quickly. "Were you crying?"
"Can we talk?" I look at Aaron and Mahogany in the corner with Taylor before turning back to him.
Shawn nods and takes my hand, leading me into the bathroom that was off of this room. "Don't tell me. You kissed Brad, didn't you? I knew it." He shakes his head.
I frown. "What? No. Shawn, I didn't kiss Brad and he didn't kiss me. I've told you many times that him and I are just friends." I give him a small smile.
"Oh. Then what's up?" He takes my hand and intertwines it with his before swinging it back and forth.
"How long will you be on tour?"
"Like 3 months-ish." He shrugs. "Why?"
"Shawn, you're my best friend. I'm so proud of you for getting an opportunity like this. Seeing you start from a young musical fanatic to becoming a young teen sensation is something that anyone is lucky to experience." I pause, seeing the glowing smile on his face. "But, you know I rely on you. I think we've talked before about long distance relationships and how they never-"
"No. We'll make it work. I promise. When we all go to Six Flags tonight, I'll prove it to you." He kisses my cheek before walking out of the bathroom and towards the stage since it's time for all of them to go out together.
I sit on the couch, alone to contemplate my thoughts. It's definitely not that I don't want to put the effort into trying a long distance relationship with Shawn. It's just that I've never been without him for more than 2 weeks. Even then, I was a wreck and I was also 9.
"Trouble in paradise?" Brad hops down next to me, giving me a near heart attack.
"Okay, one- stop saying that all the time. Two- why are you here?" I shake my head.
"I got bored. Kelly doesn't have anything scheduled with us today." He shrugs.
"Shocker." I stand up and fold my arms over my chest.
"Hey, are you okay? Yesterday was pretty bad." Brad frowns.
My face softens, realizing he may have a heart. "Yeah. Thanks for calling an ambulance and staying with me."
"You thought I would've left you there?" He raises his eyebrows.
"Well I knew you didn't have to stay." I shrug.
"Paisley, you know I'd never leave you somewhere. I'd rather die than watch you suffer."
I hesitate before replying, I'm not used to the soft side of Brad. "Right back at ya."
The guys all come back in, mumbling about the meet and greet area being set up. Shawn walks over to me with a smile and wraps his arm around my waist. "Brad." He gives a short nod.
"Shawn." He nods back. "I'm going to go hang with some old friends. Is it okay if we meet up with you guys at Six Flags later?" He smiles.
"Uh sure?" I look to Shawn for approval and he just shrugs. "5 o'clock."
