I sat with Austin in Homeroom. We sat by ourselves, Trish normally sits with us too but she's not due back until the start of second period. So it was just Austin and I.

"Alright my turn. Would you rather...live somewhere where it's raining with no sun or live somewhere where it's boiling hot with no rain?" He asked.

I thought about it. I do enjoy hot weather but I love the sound and look of rain. "Probably boiling hot with no rain, and if it gets too hot then you can always go swimming." I beamed. He smiled back at me. "Okay my go." I said, already trying to think of a question. "Would you rather, lose a foot, or a hand?" I asked.

"If I lose a hand then I can't play guitar or drums but if I lose a foot then I can't dance that well. I'll say lose a hand, because then I can get a hook, like Captain Hook!" He smiled happily. Why am I friends with people like this? Although I am weird at times too, like when I dance...

"I'm bored of Would You Rather, let's play Truth Or Dare." He asked suddenly. I hate truth or dare but I was bored too so I went along with it and nodded. "Alright, truth or dare? " he asked me.

"Well I refuse to do any dares since we're in school, so truth." I smiled. He rubbed his hands together.

"Okay, why did you and James break up? Like the full story." He cocked his head to the side.

Damn, the only topic I didn't want him to ask about. James. "The full story? Okay. Well after you left, he said that he wasn't happy with us being so close, so he asked me to stop being friends with you. I care about you way more than him so I defended you and stuck up for both of us." I shrugged. Then I quickly changed the subject. "My turn. Truth or dare?"

He instantly smiled and said "Dare." But then he changed his mind. "I'll probably get in trouble if I do any dares so truth it is." He smiled.

"Hmm, if you had to choose between your friends and being super famous, which would you pick and why?" I asked. It's lame but I just wanted to get it over with.

"Friends, because if I'm famous without my friends, there's no point. We're all in this together, no matter what." He smiled.

"Austin, that's so sweet." I said and hugged him. I'm glad I have a friend like Austin. Then the bell went and first period began.

All lesson, James was trying to send notes to me and get my attention. I didn't bother reading the notes, I just screwed them up and chucked them in the bin.

Next period was music and that wasn't with James so it's alright. I told Austin about James distracting me and he didn't look happy. "Ally, do you want me to talk to him?" He asked, not so calm.

I put my hand on his shoulder. "Austin, are you okay?" I asked. When I touched him he kind of tensed up.

"I'm fine, it's just James. I know what he's trying to do. It's not fair to you." He calmed down a little.

I was about to reply to that asking what he meant but Miss had a go at us and we had to stay silent.

After class, Austin rushed out of there and onto the field. I followed him but I couldn't keep up. I passed Trish in the hall and she asked what Austin was doing but I said I'll explain it to her while we follow him.

He walked onto the field and approached James. Oh no....
