After Austin left I looked at the flowers he'd gotten me. They were amazing and smelt gorgeous! I asked the nurse if she could put them in a vase and she came back later with my flowers bursting out of a tall vase with flower detail.
I was about to fall asleep but I suddenly got woken by commotion outside my door. Someone must be getting rushed into a room.
It died down after a few minutes so after that, I went to sleep. Sleep is technically the only thing I could do here. That and watch TV. I'd already read my books.
I woke up the next morning at 9. The nurse told me I could look around the hospital if I want but I'd have to be in a wheelchair since my legs were still too weak. I still don't know what's wrong with me. To be honest, I don't want to know.
I got in the wheelchair and rolled myself out the door. Austin would love this, being in a wheelchair.
I looked around the cafeteria and the room with all the new born babies in. They were so tiny! And there was one called Ally in there!
I wheeled myself past reception when I saw Austin's parents run up to the nurse. They saw me and stopped.
"Ally? What happened? Are you alright?" His Mum asked.
I nodded. "I'm fine now, I'm just resting up. What are you two doing here?" I asked. I wonder if they came to see me?
"Didn't you hear darling?" His Mum asked. Then she looked at her husband.
"Hear what?" I asked suspiciously.
"I think you should sit down." Mr Moon said, preparing the bad news.
I looked down at my wheelchair. "I am sitting..." I replied cautiously.
"Oh right, well, last night after Austin visited you, he was walking home. Apparently someone at school isn't a big fan of Austin and well..." His father began to say.
Austin's Mum began to burst into tears. His father continued. "Austin got attacked."
I gasped and felt my heart fall out of my butt. My eyes grew wide and I felt like throwing up.
"They say he's going to be alright but his injuries are pretty bad. We're going to visit him, do you want to come with us?" His father asked.
I couldn't talk but I just nodded slightly. His father asked the nurse for Austin's room. "Room 315 on the second floor." The nurse said in a non enthusiastic voice.
"Room 315 is the room next to mine." I said in a quiet voice as we went in the elevator. That must've been all the noise last night.
We went out of the elevator and made our way to his room. "You guys go in first, I'm going to put away my wheelchair." I said to Mr and Mrs Moon before I entered my room next door.
I wheeled myself to my bed and got out. My legs wobbled and I gripped the side of my bed. I have to walk. Do it for Austin!
I stood up and took one step. Yes! I took another, then another. I'm doing it. Okay now I have to get my MP3 and I asked the nurse if she could get me a card from the store opposite the hospital. She came back later with a GET WELL SOON! Card.
I wrote in it:
Austin. I heard about what happened. It's all my fault. If you didn't come and visit me then this wouldn't have happened. It's weird because you're in the room next to me.
I hope you get well soon and I'm sorry. Stay strong.
Love from Ally xxx
