"Austin!" I gasped as his eyes battered open. I didn't hesitate to hug him. He winced at the pain. "Sorry." I said, releasing the hug.
"It's alright. What happened?" He asked, turning his head a little towards me. He looked unwell and unhappy. That broke my heart.
"You got attacked by...James." I said biting my lip, nervously.
I could see him try to clench his fists, but he was too weak. "James Marcus? That vile idiot! When I get my hands on him-" He began to shout but I stopped him.
"AUSTIN! Enough! Not again please. You have to end this, I'm sick of you two fighting. It's already landed two people in hospital! Can we talk about this later? I want to spend time with you now." I pleaded, holding his hand tight.
He flinched as I took his hand but then shrugged as much as he could without it hurting. Then he kissed my hand and smiled. I saw him eye the table with the card and MP3 on it. Then he looked back at me.
"You got me a card?" He asked, a bruise was forming around the cut on his stitched up lip but he smiled anyway. It was a lopsided one but who cares?
"Yeah, it's stupid." I blushed, going over to grab the card. I handed it to him and watched him open it.
"Austin, I heard about what happened. It's all my fault. If you didn't visit me in the first place then this wouldn't have happened. It's weird because you're in the room next to me. I hope you get well soon and I'm sorry. Stay strong. Love from Ally." He read. I looked at the floor. "You think that me getting hurt was your fault?" He asked.
My head shot up. "Well, yeah. If I never asked you to visit me then you wouldn't have been attacked and-" I started but he stopped me.
"Ally, chill. I would've visited you anyway. Don't start blaming yourself for something I started. You just got caught in the middle." He smiled.
"Austin-" I began but I couldn't think of anything to follow it up.
"Don't sweat about it. So, you're in next next room?" He asked changing the subject.
I didn't want to stop talking about it, why should Austin get blamed for something I did? But I guess he doesn't really want to talk about it either. I sighed and tried to smile as much my conscience would allow. "Yeah, ironic isn't it? I have to go now, are you sure you're feeling better?" I asked. I couldn't stand to be in here any longer.
He smiled. "Yeah, I'm fine. You better get some rest, you need to stop stressing so much. I'll see you in the morning." He said with a laugh. Why does he have to make things so easy yet so hard?
"Yeah, sure. See you then." I said with a hint of disappointment in my voice.
"Come here you." He sighed and opened up his arms. I hugged him and kissed his cheek. "I love you, Ally." He whispered in my ear.
I smiled. "I love you too, Austin." I whispered back. We spent a few more seconds hugging before I broke away. Then I made my way to the door and closed it behind me. I staggered back to my room to get lost in my thoughts and hopefully this experience will inspire me for a new song...

AUSTIN'S P.O.V
After Ally left I saw my phone was vibrating. 1 NEW MESSAGE. It read. I tried to get up but I was too weak. What if it's my parents? I have to tell them. I tried to get up one more time but failed again. I slumped back into bed and tried to figure out a way to get out of bed. Then I heard the door open. It was the doctor.
"Ah, Austin, you're up. That's remarkable. You weren't meant to be awake later this week. Are you feeling alright?" He asked me. Apart from all the agonising pain and the massive headache, I was all good.
"Yeah I'm fine, mentally." I said sarcastically. I don't think he got it though.
"Well we'll have to run some more tests, just to see if you are well but in the meantime, do you need anything? I'll have the nurses send some food in later." He asked. I wonder if he's Ally's doctor too?
"No I'm fine thank you. Do you know what's wrong with Ally Dawson? She's my...friend." I asked, thinking about what to say. Are we boyfriend/girlfriend? It's Ally's call. I'll ask her tomorrow.
"Well, we're technically not allowed to give other patients' details, you'll have to ask her yourself. Is there anything else I could help you with?" He asked. Man, this guy is like a butler.
"Could you just pass me my phone please?" I asked him before he left.
He passed me my bag and then left. I took my phone out and threw my bag on the end of my bed. I unlocked it and read the message. This one came earlier today. It's already been read. Ally must've read it.
That's what you get, Moon. Next time, you'll be sleeping in a grave.
Then I read the text I'd just received:
You're welcome.
It was from James. What does he mean? I asked the nurse to get me a wheelchair, she denied it, but I had to talk to Ally. I asked her again and she gave in. She brought in a wheelchair and helped me in it. Then I wheeled myself out of the room to Ally's. I waited outside hers.
No, he's awake now.
I heard her say. Maybe she's talking to Trish?
Ally, If you tell Austin about our little chat earlier, then I'm going to have to hurt someone else. How much do you love your Dad?
Ally had the phone on speakerphone so I could hear Trish. Wait, that voice isn't Trish... Was that James? They talked earlier? He's going to hurt her Dad? I wanted to go in there so bad, but then I would interrupt his point. If I find out what he's doing, then maybe I could stop him.
If you hurt my Dad then I'm calling the police.
The police are coming to talk to me tomorrow about the attack, I'll tell them all about it then.
That's not such a brilliant idea. You see, I heard you're getting out of that pathetic hospital tomorrow.
Ally's out of hospital tomorrow? Why didn't she tell me? I'm just happy that she's well, I'm just worried because then James could hurt her easily.
Get to your point James.
I heard her demand.
Whoa, calm down sunshine. My point is, after you get out, meet me at the beach.
There's no way I'm letting her meet him. Not even if I have to hire some guys out to protect her. She won't agree to it anyway.
Fine. I'll text you when I'm out of here.
Then I heard her hang up. I didn't even think about it, but I kicked open the door and rolled in. "You are NOT meeting up with that guy!" I yelled. Talk about dramatic entrance.
"Austin! Were you listening to my conversation?" She asked, shocked.
I ignored her question and rolled towards her. "He's just going to hurt you! Why didn't you tell me you talked to him this morning too?" I wanted to know. I had to know...
