All I dreamt about that night was Austin, but not intentionally, it seemed like he just happened to pop up in my dreams. I dreamt about being on stage; Austin was there. I dreamt about shopping with Trish; Austin was there. I don't mind it, it's just weird...
I woke up the next morning and looked around. I forget that everyone was sleeping round. I saw Trish next to me, snoring loudly and I saw Dez on the floor sleeping awkwardly...but I couldn't see Austin. I put on my bed socks and walked downstairs.
I saw Austin in the backyard, drinking a glass of water and sitting on a garden chair. I walked to the back door and opened it slightly. I poked my head round and smiled at him.
"Hi." I said, walking out of the door and closing it behind me.
"Hey, did I wake you?" He asked in a deepish voice, like he didn't wake up not too long ago.
"No, Trish's snoring did." I said with a laugh. "What you doing out here?" I asked as he sipled his water.
"I'm just thinking." He said, putting the glass of water on the floor next to him.
I sighed. "Is this about James?" I asked, crossing my legs on the chair.
"Maybe." He said, bluntly. Why's he being like this? He's the one that saved me.
"Austin, I'm fine. James didn't do anything to me." I said in a soft voice.
"But he could've. I wasn't there to protect you. It's my responsibility that you're safe." He said, his voice had a hint of anger inside of it.
"You were in hospital. How were you going to protect me? And I don't need you as my bodyguard. I can take care of myself." I argued. He's putting me in a bad mood and it makes me feel rubbish.
"Yeah, you definitely took care of yourself yesterday when you were trapped and I had to come and save you." He said, sarcastically.
What's wrong with him? This isn't the Austin I know, it's the Austin from school. The one who gets into fights and picks on the nerds. And there's me thinking that someone could change for the better. How wrong was I? "You know what? Forget it. I can't deal with you anymore. Since I met you, all you've done is mess with my head. At first you're acting all tough but the next moment you're really sweet. It's confusing! So just, just leave me alone!" I exclaimed as I stood up. A tear rolled down my cheek but I wiped it away quickly.
"Ally, I-" He began but I stopped him.
"No. Leave me alone." My voice broke towards the end of that sentence before I ran back inside and upstairs.
I don't think he followed me. Good. I need to clear my head. I decided to put on some leggings and an oversized shirt and go for a walk. I picked up my phone, earphones and my book and a pen and put them in a bag and walked down the stairs.
"Where are you going?" Austin asked in the living kitchen as I passed it, making my way to the door.
"For a walk. Don't worry, I don't need my bodyguards with me this time." I said sarcastically as I stormed out the door.
Urggg! He makes me want to run off a cliff! I know he cares and everything but he has a weird way of showing it! I walked slowly to the park with my right earphone in, playing Just Give Me A Reason by Pink.
It was only around 9am so there were families going to the park and the small cafe on the corner. I decided to treat myself to a latte. I hardly ever have lattes but today I needed that extra boost.
I sat down at a table and sipped my latte. I opened up my book and started writing.
Where do I begin?
