I twiddled with my thumbs when a text from Grace came through my phone.
It hurts that you always put everything else before me, Riley. Why are we even friends?
I sighed and put my face in my hands.
Rob was right

Chapter Seven
There goes my best friend.
I couldn't muster up the energy to return back to the interview, so I sat in the dressing room for a few minutes. After a moment of reflecting, I decided to go back and join them.
I walked into the room and placed the headphones over my ears. Rob gave me a confused look. He knew something was wrong.
I tried to join in on the conversation as much as I could, but had no motivation to do so. I didn't feel like talking. After another twenty minutes or so, the interview ended and we all said our goodbyes. Rob and I walked outside, greeted some fans, and headed into our limo.
"What happened?" He asked me as soon as the doors shut. I bit my lip.
I can't tell him he was right.
"Nothing." I shrugged.
"Oh please. What happened, Riley? Come on!"
"Rob, it was nothing." I pulled out my phone and re-read the message I had sent to Grace.
Is she seriously mad at me about this?
"Whatever." Rob sighed. We both sat in silence for the rest of the car ride. Once we got home, I got ready for bed and immediately fell asleep. I needed to shut down and forget about everything that was happening. I was getting too stressed out.
..
I woke up late, around 12pm. I immediately panicked and rushed to get ready for my date with Sam. He was picking me up around 4. My makeup artist, Jenna, would be here in an hour.
I ran to my closet to pick out an outfit. We were going someplace fancy, so I looked through my nicer clothes.
I came across one of my designer dresses. It was black and flattered my body shape. I paired it with some Louis Vuitton heels, and checked the time.
Already 12:30. Where did the time go?
I walked over to my jewelry and picked out some diamond earrings and a silver necklace. My phone rang, and Jenna was calling me. I quickly answered it, telling her I'll go to the gate and let her in.
I walked outside and greeted her with a hug. Jenna was a good friend. It was always nice to see her. She walked inside, wheeling a small suitcase with her. That was her makeup bag. She had so much stuff.
We sat down in my bathroom, and she went to business on applying concealer and highlighter.
"So , who are you going with?" She asked, wiggling her eyebrows.
"Sam Bernard." I smirked. She opened her mouth wide, shocked.
"Are you serious? Riley, he is so hot!"
"Right? Ah! I'm so excited." I let out a shriek and clapped my hands. This was going to be a good night.
"And where are you two going?"
"The Hollow." I smiled, proud of Sam's decision.
"You go, girl." Jenna winked at me.
As she continued to apply my makeup, we made small conversation. Soon, it was already 2:30pm, and I needed to do my hair. Jenna offered to curl it for me, and I agreed. She was amazing at everything.
