Loud gasps covered the room followed by awkward silence. Pabalik-balik ang tingin nila sa aming tatlo. Kay Luke na nakatayo na mula sa pagkakaupo, kay Kiro na nakahawak sa aking kamay at sa akin.

The door burst open. Our instructor came in.
"What happened here? Why are you standing Mr. Corpuz?" Naguguluhang tanong niya kay Luke saka bumaling sa amin.
"And you two, where are you going?"
Nanginginig na ang tuhod ko sa kaba. Nasa amin kasi lahat ng atensiyon. Bakit ba naman kasi hinila pa ako ni Kiro eh.
But the great Kiro didn't budge at our instructor's outburst.
"She's sick." Maikling pahayag niya. Siyempre mawawala ba ang malamig niyang tono?
"Oh. Okay." Parang naging maamong tupa bigla si Sir. Kiro will always be Kiro. He has this power to make someone follow or obey him. I'm impressed. Huehue.
Nasa hallway na kami pero hawak niya pa rin ang kamay ko.
"Y-yung kamay ko." Pilit ko itong inaagaw but I'm not strong enough compared to him.
"I'm holding it." He said in a cold tone though it's obvious that he tried his hardest to say it perfunctorily. But coldness dominates him.
"I know-" He cutt me off.
"So why are you asking if you already knew? Rhetoric?" Still in his monotonous way.
I want to roll my eyes heavenwards. And so I did.
"I don't know that you have this kind of attitude." I murmur more to myself.
"What do you mean?"
"This. Pilosopo."
"I am not. You're just asking the obvious." He has this 'in a matter of fact' tone.
Hindi na lang ako umimik. We continued on our tracks to nowhere. Still holding each other's hand. Mabuti na lang at oras ng klase ngayon kaya walang studyante sa labas.
After a while, I chose to break the ice by asking "Saan tayo?"
"I don't know." He shrugged.
That made me stop. Since magkahawak ang kamay namin, napatigil din siya.
"What?"
"You know what, bumalik na lang tayo sa room. Wala naman pala tayong pupuntahan." Babalik na sana ako kung saan kami nanggaling nang hilahin niya ako.
"No. We won't go back there. I wjvghgsgsg alonvsnh" may binulong siya sa huli pero di ko narinig. "Let's go out. Outside the school."
Date? No. Pinilig ko ang ulo ko para matigil ako sa pag-iisip ng kung ano ano.Dinala niya ako sa likod ng school. May kinuha siya sa bulsa niya.
"Susi? May susi ka ng lumang gate?"
He gave me an 'obviously' look. I zip my mouth. Oo nga naman. Nakita mo ng susi ang kinuha niya, magtatanong ka pa. Lokohan Kish? That's the privilege of being the president of Student Council.
May lumang gate kasi dito. Since we can't pass through the front gate because of the guard, better use the old gate.
Binuksan niya ito and we're off to go.
